Our pressure was better last night but will need to lift another level again to get close to them. Their forward line is actually pretty average, certainly on paper. What kills us is their midfield dominates ours and then when we get it we feel the urge to to just give it back to May/Lever each time.

Absolutely nothing to lose next week. No one, probably even a lot of us here will give us much of a chance and I imagine the week will just be a discussion around Harrison Petty’s mum and Melbourne by how far.

All I’d ask is we don’t go out playing the same way as we have the last few times against them. Don’t lose by knowing what you know and all that.

Blueprint to beat melb is clearly shown by pies and swans this year. High pressure and switched on defensively as a whole team. Whether we are capable of producing that consistently across 4 qtrs is the big question

If you bring it mentally, apply pressure and take pride in defending then Melbourne are very beatable. Over to you Lions.

was petracca injured?

dev and matho in there focusing more on negating. Surely Neale will have a heavy tag so we will need everyone else to lift.

And absolutely do not go long slow down the line. May and Lever intercept too well. Tall forwards need to work hard to drag them all over the ground. And you have to change angles and bring the ball in different. Chaos ball even into the smalls

Our premiership odds are the same as they were before the Richmond game. Even tho we won it.
Because we are matched up against a team that kicked 13 goals to our 2 on our home deck.

Let’s hope they all learned something last night. I’m not confident but if we pick a similar team, we’re a chance.

Petracca was limping pretty bad at the start. Reckon he had a fair knock and was pretty sore.

Really need Dev to shut down Oliver
