Adelaide v Fremantle
Saturday 16 November
3:05pm
Norwood Oval

The AFL, in their wisdom, have scheduled our semi final at Norwood on a Saturday afternoon

When the Vailo 500 is on

When the Strikers WBBL match is on

On a day forecast to be 38 degrees

It's going to be a hot one both on and off the field. Who will be facing Brisbane in the Preliminary Final?

Ballard comes back in for Tarlinton. Good to see Ballard back, although I don't understand how it's taken this long.

Given that we only gave Tarlinton 20% TOG anyway, it improves us almost by default.

This quote made me laugh though:

“[Tarlinton]’s only played the two games this season and she’s done nothing wrong, however the match-ups suited her against North but probably don’t suit her as much against Fremantle.”

Oh yes, that amazing matchup that saw her spend literally 80% of the match sitting on the bench. I'd hate to see how little time she would get on the ground against Freo!

Also, given that we used her solely as a ruck and Freo have arguably the strongest ruck in the league, is this just a coded way of saying we weren't concerned about North's ruck?

Tarlinton, Varnhagen and Boyle-Carr are the emergencies.

Makes you wonder why we even brought in Tarlinton at all. North's ruck are decent. Freo is going to be tough. Pretty sure Mim Strom has high TOG and last week even kicked a goal. Good thing Jess Allan is one of our better players. I think she can go with her and match it.

Jess Allan is probably the only ruck who has beaten Strom in terms of hitouts this year. She got 27 hitouts compared to just 20 for Strom. But Strom had better stats than her around the ground.

might? there'll be a constant droning.
I can usually hear the V8s from Henley Beach, let alone Norwood
You mean a fabulous sound ??

Thing is, I work in the CBD and its harder to hear them there than it is from further away.

Northerly breeze might mean it's not as loud as you might think at Norwood
