We should send him to hell or the next closes thing, Carlton. Whatever we do he shouldnt be at Collingwood. I agree with the club on this stand

Here here, its lame that supporters can backstab a player from their club who has given them so much. Tis funny they would have been cheering for him earilier in the season. Show some respect
Faf-off mate!

For one Juddas wasn't the one being backstabbed.

Two, the club gave just as much to him as he gave to us. I would like to see the Grand Final that a player won by himself, he was a part of a team. He was paid hansomely, mentored by very successful business contacts set up by the club and made a millionaire, given the captaincy, was made the face of the most profitable football club in the league yet it all pales in comparison to mums Sunday roast apparently.

Yes we did cheer him on during the season. We all loved him. Not anymore.

If my understanding of that richmond deal is correct (richmond pay overprice for mitch morton on the guarantee that we'll send judd into the pre-season draft), why has no one raised the possibility that such an agreement may be blatantly against trading rules?

How?

Richmond might just really, really want Morton ;)

I don't see how Richmond would go for it though. They might "accidently" forget to send thier copy of the fax, meaning they get Judd in the PDS for squat.

Juddas as in Judas.....haha, thats not bad. Wonder how long it will take a newspaper to claim that one for its own.

I reckon what we should do is legally change Mitch Mortons name to Chris Juddd. Then trade him Juddd to Richmond for pick 2. Before Richmond realise the spelling error and are still wondering why the player they used pick 2 on now has hair we quickly trade the real Chris Judd to Carlton for pick 1 and 3 not telling them that Judd has infact been sacked for sleeping with Trevor Nisbetts wife

You guys are F...n ridiculous. As if we would give you thomas or pendlebury for Chris judd. It's like giving up a gun at 20 for someone who has already achieved the ultimate and he has served you well, after all,he is a victorian he has served your side admirably so the guy wants to go home.Collingwood need a gun ,midfilder you guys need a big forward. So our pick 14 and say a josh fraser would more than ample trade. If not carlton can have him we'll recuite a good midfelder or two next year and we;ll win the flag in the next 2 years anyway. What let us down this year was our rucks otherwise we would be playing port this week.F...k you guys are so jealous, really it's not like he is still under contract,he has finished his tenure with the eagles and wants to come home.I really hope he goes into the draft and goes to carlton and you guys get zip for him.
Chris judd owes the eagles nothing....he has done his time there.
And collingwood will continue on our merry way and stick to our youth policy and pick up a few more midfielders next year and get another ruckman and we will be ready to kill for the premiership in 2008/2009.

Why the hell we want Josh Fraser?? A washed up hack. NAh let him go to Richmond

Remember Nick Stevens?

Nick was vice-captain at Port Adelaide and wanted to return back to Victoria. Nick said that he wanted to go play for Collingwood, Mark Williams said he can take his chances in the PSD. Nick ended up at Carlton.

Nick hasn't played in finals since and Port Adelaide are playing off for their 2nd Premiership this week. There is a moral to this story.

Sorry about the Username, actually I am not, if he was the PM then he would be truly hated by the majority of the population. And believe me he deserves it, smug b&stard

I agree completely with the Nick Stevens case. I honestly couldn't care if we didn't get anything from the Trade. Port are doing quite nicely thanks. It would also send a clear message to the rest of the competition, marquee players should never leave clubs in their prime, or they will pay the consequence!!

Whilst I'd be pissed off if we end up with nothing in a trade, we do need to be prepared to walk away.

Face it, if Judd asks to be traded to Collingwood, they would be the laughing stock of the AFL if they missed out on him because they wouldn't offer anything better than their first round pick and a fringe player.

We won't get full value but we will do OK out of it.

Nick Stevens was a B+ midfielder. Judd's the best player in the comp. Losing one for nothing is gonna hurt much more than losing the other for nothing.

That's the moral to the story.

Mate we've already "lost" him.

Most of us have hurt enough and are prepared to see him in the good old yellow and black then accept Pick 65 and Joe Bloggs from Ballarat.

Thats our "story". I stand by it.

**** ----.

He deserves it.

Think how satisfying it would be to watch Juddas battle through next year in a bottom 4 side. He'd get triple-teamed every week and get the living suitcases belted out of him. There'd be no-one else to draw a tag. No-one to block for him. No-one to protect him.

It would send a powerful message: if a player walks and nominates one club, this is what happens to you. I wonder how Paul Connors would like that.

There would be the added bonus of shafting Collingwood and watching them gnash their teeth over missing another gun player because they were too pig-headed to offer a decent trade.

Also, I don't think we would have to lose Juddas to Richmond for nothing. We have a ready-made Veale deal already in the works.

If Juddas' chosen club has offered us nothing decent by the fourth day of trade week, we send Mitch Morton to Richmond for picks 2 and 17 (and maybe a player) and we make sure Juddas ends up in the PSD.

Send Juddas to Richmond.

Hahahahaha.....bitter much Longshanks???? I'll be happy if we get Judd but don't care if we don't.....as long as we keep pick 2.

The moral of the story is that the team is always greater than the individual. Port Adelaide > Nick Stevens

Juddy will also find out the hard way that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

The deal be:-

Nathan Brown (Mitch's brother), one of Reid/Dawes/Rusling, plus pick 14.

West Coast aren't worried about this years draft which is only ordinary.

They want the picks of last years Super Draft.

Another ridiculous statement. When has any club, let alone West Coast not been interested in the draft. I think you will find we will be gunning for Draft picks over players, as stated by Nisbett and Co.

Why are people talking about Nathan Brown? Has he played a game yet?

Judd's been prancing around like an idiot. He's the best player in the AFL when fit but this whole episode of all these teams wining and dining him and Judd trying to decide between what's better than one rich club offering him everything and and another rich club offering him everything, all seems very un-Australian and quite frankly bizarre. This has all gone to his head terribly.

I say teach him a lesson. He has it better than probably every 24 year old guy in the whole of Australia yet nothing is good enough.

He is not bigger than the game itself. Let him rot in Richmond.

Hate to break it to you but if he goes to Richmond it will only be on a one year contract. He'll get to where he wants to go in the end he's a very stubborn man. Be interesting to see who would take him if he had PSD price of 1mil + for one year.

And tell me how Port Adelaide benefited from stamping their foot and taking their bat and ball and going home?

The hard heads at WC won't allow the club to lose Judd for nothing. Wherever he goes, they'll get as much as they can for him. IMO The momentary flash of gratification from screwing over Judd is for jilted fans in their own imaginations, not professional administrators who will scrap for any advantage they can find.

If the Eagles don't get anywhere near what they want he wont be at the club he wants to be next year and rightfully so. Nobody can and should not be allowed to hold a club to ransom.
