… it’d be a few dozen Freo fans couped up the back of the Ryder Stand watching their team getting pummelled on the pitch, and 30,000 Collingwood fans cheering for the margin to get to 100 points. Good times, but respect to those Freo fans.

The issue will be Collingwood having to actually leave Victoria ……. Collingwood has played a massive 5 games outside of Victoria…. losing to Sydney and Brisbane , a fair win against a depleted Fremantle and falling across the line by 5 points to both Adelaide and Gold Coast) …. hardly sparkling on the road form. The SCG is a whole different story….

Sydney and Brisbane are both in Prelims - Brisbane performance was decent considering who we were missing. Swans game imo was a shocker. Hopefully we learnt a lot and JDG is a handy inclusion.

easy to say drop but then what ? who comes in. McCrae on chance, Oliver henry has not shown enough pressure as yet to play finals. carmichael good choice, but I dont think has the tank.. ( will next year now in the afl system ) that leaves the Brown brothers. i'd take Bianco clean disposal over brown fumbling handballs.

It's now half time in our finals quest for glory and we now have the AFL Swans at postage stamp oval to defeat in the 3rd quarter.
I think this time around we will get a lot closer to them and I don't think we will let them get out to a 5 goal lead like last time. This one will be an arm wrestle all the way. Any side can win this, we can certainly turn the tables.
We are getting better every week. We are getting more looks on goal because we are starting to draw even with sides in the contested and clearance aspect of the game which is getting us more looks. We obviously still need to get clinical with our goal accuracy, a few boys were guilty last night of some shocking attempts. I think we can improve here, and we will need to because Sydney's defence will make it tougher for us to move the ball. The team that takes their chances next week will have a date with destiny.

Whilst we have lost to Sydney at the SCG the last 2 times, we did towel up Melbourne there last year in Buckley's last game as coach. The SCG holds no fear for us. We can do it.
The coach gave another great press conference last night... Geez it has been a very long time that a Collingwood coach has been universally loved by all supporters and opposition supporters alike. His Pressers are great and lack the gnarly egotistical rants of the past. I said last year when he was appointed and say so again now. His appointment has been one of the best EVER in recent memory.
