Well said Maradona, Thing is most people respect and like these blokes you have mentioned but My View well ??? Not too sure if there are any people that respect or like him after the show that he puts on here but of course he will say he does'nt care if anyone likes him blah blah blah..more crap and then when people have a go at him on here he contacts the mediators and complains to them and gets stuff removed... weirdo...

So i have complained have i?? Another guess from the pie eater let me say this
i am big enough to enjoy the banter on here from mainly people who are wanna bees or 2nds players the facts about me is i am all that i say i am.
If people go over the line on here they get banned nothing to do with me...
I like keeping the muppets around they make me look good..:D:D

Sounds to me like the Springvale coach is talking it up my information is Springvale dont have money to spend on players

Mate money doesn't win premierships ( balwyn tigers ) springy will win the flag by 14 goals on there bad day recruted amazingly and have the coin. I heard K.Whipp is there newest recruit on big coin.

Springy have no money to pay these players its all hear say Watch this space....;)

Ok so your saying they won't be paid MV? I'd love to know how you can be so certain that SDFC don't have money?

I look forward to reposting this when you are proved wrong (Again) - And I can guarantee that you will be, as Springvale Districts have always been a responsible club with player payments, and always will be.

It's about time you were made accountable for your dribble.

Vassallo at Districts

THIS time last year we couldn’t land a fish. Now they are jumping in the boat,’’ Springvale Districts secretary Tony Cooper quipped last Wednesday.

He was entitled to be in a jocular mood – the Districts had recruited Noble Park’s Gavin Vassallo, to go with the signings of Keysborough strongman Greg Walker, two other Burras in Leigh Williams and Chubba Wells, Noble Park trio Adam Nicholls, Leighton Ross and Ordell Buntine, and Clayton’s Andrew Ferguson.
Vassallo has bounced between Noble Park and Springy Districts in the past few seasons.

This year he returned to Moodemere St and played in the Bulls’ grand final victory over Scoresby, his third senior premiership with the club. Although he is getting on, Vassallo will be an excellent player in division two of Southern.

Districts are also trying to regain their for me r captain Mick Odachoswki from Chelsea, and have spoken to Shane Gibbs from Heatherton and Ash Beasy from Chelsea Heights. At Noble Park, Croydon forward Luke Mann has signed , Sandringham’s Tommy Paterakis is close to doing so and Danny Rigg may return after a stint at Devon Meadows. Paterakis, 25, played 38 senior matches for the Zebras, mostly as a hard-checking midfielder. Lloyd Williams has yet to decide if he will return from Mt Eliza. Coach Mick Fogarty said he believed Glenn Hawthorn had gone to Keysborough.

I agree but it seems Springy are thinking short term one good year in Div 2 then back up with nothing for the future no mention of kids Nothing...
Another Club more intrested in one season success... This what happens when you have short sighted people running football clubs...

Good reqruiting gents bar I not sure that getting back old wood or unfit guys that didnt make it at other clubs is actually moving forward.

The big question is have we reqruited a RUCKMAN or is Ty Esler coming back or Andy Mac ???

Legends?? ha ha i guess that sums you up. Sautner is a VFL star i agree
But the other guy is a front runner who is nothing more than avarage at SFL level which in turn is a very low standard of football...

"the other guy" "front runner" & "avarage" (maybe "average"??)

???????

Clint is a superstar player and bloke - anyone who has played with/against him would agree.
All the best for 2011 Clinta - no doubt Springy is a better club with you there!

Sounds like everyone is trying to jump on board and win a cheap flag. I wonder if these players will be around if/when they go back upto Div 1?. Probably not, and that is when the tired old line 'playing the kids' will be dusted off.

Great pick-up if true. Worth every penny. Deadly forward who can rotate on the ball.

It seems every man & his dog are heading to Black Rock, if our facebook page is anything to go by :)

What do you mean ? who else they got ?

Unfortunately only going on hear say & rumours so I can't give you anything substantial. Was told a few from Mentone are heading down there (whatever that means) plus another from the Bentleigh area heading down with the Dewar bros.

Round 1 for 2011 as follows as per website
Springvale v Hampton Friday night spectacle, baptism of fire for the Hammers
Bentleigh v Murrumbeena historical day for the club, Bentleigh v Rodders
South Yarra v Skye longest trip in the division lol
Ashwood v Black Rock cellar dwellers v big improvers? Who knows
Highett v Oakleigh Dist game of the round IMO, both featured heavily in finals last year

BYE: Caulfield

hey sniper how is Bentleigh's recruiting going? haven't seen anything on here about comings & goings with the change of comp

Actually we've lost a couple going OS & working interstate. There's a few recruits penciled in, but nothing concrete as yet. We'll also get a few back during the year from long term injuries which will be handy.

A question for anyone South Yarra.

I noticed that South Yarra have a bye in the last round (Round 20). Being that they were there abouts in the finals last year & assuming that they make it again, will it be benefical or a disadvantage for them to have the bye just before the finals?

There are two ways of thinking,
beneficial in that they will secure 4 valuable points to get into/stay in the top 5 & they will be rested for finals?

or

disadvantageous if they have winning form leading up to Round 20 & a break would be them lose a bit of momentum?

What do others think?

I think it's only a disadvantage if we finish top and have 2 weeks in a row off. Otherwise, it will be good to get the body right for finals.
