If it had been transparent from the start, we’d be talking about results and upcoming games for a change!

Transparency went out the window when they ceased putting up tribunal results. My subs go into a league hell bent on keeping clubs and players at ‘arms length’. Played in a couple of leagues and this is the only one where clubs are kept in the dark and only know when the ark up

Can anyone comment on the rumour that east malvern do not have memorandum of understanding with juniors and as such have been over 47 pts since round 5 to now?????

East Malvern have 3 MOUs with juniors in their area. The league argued whether they should have players come to them as 1 pointers when historically those juniors have no link to the senior club (except EMJFC). Not sure why the league approved the MOUs then take them away and say you’ll have to wait a few years for them to kick in.

Don’t know the answer but you would think it fair and reasonable that they could have an MOU with a junior club that they share a ground with. As I understand the main questions were asked around how a number of well performed country recruits were such given such a generous PPV by HQ.

Has been a black eye for the league but rightly it is time to put it behind and move on. Hopefully more transparency and governance applied in 2019.

What point value would he have been if he stayed at the Dogs?

Not sure, as I know he played St Peters juniors so wasn't sure if we had a memorandum of understanding as their kids tend to go all over the place.

He's played at St Pauls before the VFL so i'd assume that makes him 1 point for local player?

Dingoes win today can they make finals?
Whats happened to east malvern

They can and if they do they might do some damage. However 2 games out with 6 to play means they need St Kilda or Bentleigh to fall over.

Intriguing last 6 rounds and with City and Bentleigh facing off next week and Dingley playing Chelsea Heights the Dingoes will just be one game out with 5 to play. Bentleigh with a tough run home look the most vulnerable but at least they control their own destiny. Round 14 at home v the Dingley might decide it.

EM missing top talent. Their best are absolute elite but they do fall away and will be better once Carey, Mullett etc come back in.

Looks like mordi v st pauls gf this year

East Malvern have been a few troops down the last few weeks, I know everyone always has injuries but looks like their depth has been tested slightly. I think when St Pauls beat them the first time they were near full strength so maybe the pace of the Doggies have them covered.

I reckon its pretty tight at the top between the three teams who appear to be contenders with a good mix of results in the games between them.

Injuries will play a big role, Mordy and East Malvern have a few to come back in (if they do) and I tend to lean to them being the two teams to beat.

If Dingley somehow sneak into 5th i wont rule them out either particularly against Mordialloc. Big few weeks coming up!

Not sure we can write doggies off as yet

The top 6 will change however I'm not convinced that Dingoes can make it just yet. The big game of the round this week is Bentleigh V City and a loss to the Demons will make it very hard, City on the other hand will cement a spot but have the hardest draw on the run home with games against fellow finalists and only Chelt on paper as a potential win. The Demons although undermanned with injuries performed well enough last week, but will get a couple back, it will be interesting if they keep their young blokes who are performing well in the side. City are probably only 2 players short with injuries and are pretty strong but on the smaller Bentleigh ground may find it hard to get their run going. You are right, '' Big few weeks coming up ''

Some big results over the weekend with East Malvern losing again, could they finish out of the top 3 and have to play an elimination final first week? Bentleigh vs Dingley this week is huge after the weekends result, Bentleigh can all but end Dingley's season however the flip result you would probably think that the Dingoes can/will make it.

In the relegation end of things Port would have been licking their lips at three quarter time, but St Pauls class showed through in the end. Oakleigh also tested Mordy, who like a few of the other top teams are battling with injury and availability. St Kilda City also coming into real form and have snuck into the top 3 on percentage, are they a danger come finals?

Decisive weekend coming up!

Big news coming out of league headquarters soon re EM and over points.....apparany afl vic, league and EM in big discussions. Other clubs will be watching!

I thought this was all dead and buried when East Malvern lost their appeal and we move on??

Not the case?

Chelsea Heights vs EAST MALVERN

Wheels appear to have well and truly fallen over down Chelsea way. East Malvern to get back on the winning list in a big way. 112 Points

Mordialloc vs ST KILDA CITY

St Kilda City going very well the last month, reckon Mordy have been winning but only just going along ok. City need to take a big scalp heading into finals and i reckon Mordy are due for a clip here. 16 points

Bentleigh vs Dingley

Game of the round in regards to the impact of the result. Whichever team wins will be in the box seat to book a top 5 spot, i just have a feeling the class and top end talent at the Dingoes will get them over the line. Their inability to kick a score should keep it close. 11 Points

Cheltenham
vs Port Colts

Port surprised with a big showing against the Doggies last week and Cheltenham claimed a big scalp beating EM. I think they can continue on with that this weekend and Port have been pretty inconsistent, cant see them stringing two big weeks in a row. 47 points

St Pauls
vs Oakleigh Districts

Good showing from Districts last week against Mordy who were just a bit too classy; i think they might find the same with the doggies this week. The young dogs will be too quick and classy. 35 points.

Having not offered up my tips for few weeks but will have a crack this round with some crucial games being played.

Chelsea V East Malvern. EM by 100. Will be a tough day and a very long last five rounds for the Heights.

Mordialloc V St. Kilda. Word is the Bloods have been slaughtered with injury and despite very healthy numbers at the club are battling to fill their ressies tomorrow. But they keep finding a way to win ugly and expect them to get up by 10 points.

Bentleigh V Dingley. Dingoes by 3-4 goals. Back to full strength and looking ominous. Will be in the 5 by days end and expect them to stay there.

Cheltenham V Port Colts. Will be a close game and would not entirely surprise if the Colt’s got up but Chelt with more to play for will salute by 3 goals

St Pauls V Oakleigh Districts. Oaks have been brave of late and will take it up to the Doggies but expect St Pauls to be too classy and win by 5-6 goals.
