Sorry to hijack the thread again guys.

Richmond Central are looking for an opponent for a practice match at Kevin Bartlett Reserve on the 1st of April. If there are any clubs out there looking for a game on the above date, please either send me a private message or email contact@rcafc.com

Cheers, N&C

Mossgiel Park are also looking for a game on that date. Please email mgfc@gmail.com.

Did anyone go down to Springy for a look last night? Doveton obviously didn't have anything like their best team on the park, but 21 scoring shots to 3 would have to be slightly concerning.

Will be interesting to see how the Hallam vs Lyndhurst game goes tomorrow, Lyndhurst has a massive opportunity to build momentum into the season with a win against a 'contender'.

I'm pretty sure Lyndhurst have a practice match against Caulfield the following night, so I can't see them having the depth to build any momentum with games on consecutive nights.

To be honest I think we (Doveton) competed better than we expected to. Scoreboard could have looked worse if they had kicked straighter. Tough windy conditions though.
We only had about 4 senior footballers playing with mostly 2nds, 3rds and kids.
No ruckman at all. I wouldn't expect to see a very strong Doveton side in any of these Monday night games. We were a bit disappointed to be put into that side of the draw given what we hope to use the Monday nights for. Im sure other clubs are doing similar things

Does tonight it stand for Dandenong "Can Play Less"

Jeeze thats creative stuff!! Managed to see 2nd half, couple of alright patches by both sides.. Dandenong looked disgustingly unfit & struggled to score after hard work of too few.. CPL just ran rings around them, didn't look too bad though..

On a better note, hallam scary good!! They're very slick!

Also watched the hallam game and no doubt they have recruited well and will be a contender but hard to really get a gauge of how good they can be considering they played lyndhursts 3rds.
Marriot will dominate this comp

My understanding was that Lyndhurst was 50-50 seniors and reserves. They certainly had a few handy players and will definitely have improved from last season. Hallam seemed to put the cue in the rack at half time and the game was more even after that.

Marriott delivering to Thomas is going to be a game winning combo for the Hawks this season.

Did anyone see the big forward from Dandy?! The bloke's massive and loves the biff! Happy to see dandy up and about.

Even if they go 0-18 having them field sides is good for the league, they hada few go alright just too few able to defend the turnover..

That bloke was a mammoth.. huge unit and a savage to boot

Went to watch Doveton play in their praccy. They are crap, definately won't make finals.

One dude wasnt even wearing boots, was playing with just his bare feet.

Top 5 for me, in no particular order.

Ashwood
Hallam - looking very good
Endeavour
Lyndale - have picked up some real talent
Black Rock
