if they have so much money they must be doing something right, because they have been a basket case the last 5 years on the field
It's a well administered club.

Circumstances beyond their control have lead to their situation!....no juniors, old area, ethnic population etc
CC comp was far to strong for them.

Old area? They are on the edge of one of the biggest growth corridors in the country. Most clubs in this Comp recruit from their backyard. Lyndhurst is 2 min up the road and have a thriving junior set up.

Agree that rebuilding in CC Comp is a tough ask.

And where will their good kids go ? They won’t be playing Sthn Div 4 , I remember Narre getting a lot of good HP kids come to think of it

More clearances out of Hallam. Are they going to be able to field two teams?

Watching them for a couple of quarters on Saturday, yes - at this stage. A few fearful floggings and injuries it could be different.

Given they beat Dandenong by 4 goals over 6 quarters says that is a distinct possibility......

It’s cases like this, I know there is a rule in the SFNL that 6 (maybe) can go from one club to another, that maybe Football Victoria could enforce a cap of maybe a few more from one league to another.....say 8-10. Which gives the coach some clout when applying for a job - as he can chose those 8-10 players - without sending a club to a winless season by taking 20 or so which is no good for anyone.

I do know if it was a great culture they would stay, but how can you build a great culture on flogging after flogging????

Just seems that they all brought in to win a flag in that year and it didn’t happen so they’ve all left. Sad really

I disagree you pay to play at these clubs you should be able to move where and when you want !!! No one should be held hostage if they are paid up

I agree with Proudpuma on this one. While there is a rule allowing only 2 clearances from one SFNL club to another.
That's fine if they are contracted players but for the average Joe spending $400 on fees should be able to decide where he or she spends it.

Not bad. Cyril Kandakji from Cranbourne looked impressive in patches but didn’t work too hard. New kid from Chelt moved well. A swag of new players from ‘The Allies’ will do well in Div3.
How's young cyrils attitude these days ?? Is it still as slop as a soiled pair of ya uncle Bills reg grundies , saw him play an elimination final for highett a couple years back and his 3rd quarter huddle body language and attitude towards the 'possibly ' last quarter for the year was SLOP , anything changed?

I would think that with Shane Sheedy (former Oakleigh Districts) at the helm, Cyril will be in a good space.

It’s the only game I’ll be paying to see this year lol

i could be wrong, but I don't think u'll have to pay if u have a 2018 club membership card. I know that is what they are looking at for the year however i'm not sure if it will include members of clubs not competing on the day.

in saying that I think the game / event will be well worth the admission price and I advise anyone not sure of their movements to get down to booth reserve and have a look. the crowd size and atmosphere that is generated at Hampton Park is something not seen (or I haven't seen) in SFNL. will be a great finals like experience for both young sides...... if u are driving I suggest getting there as early as possible if u want to park in the ground. there is parking 3/4 of the way around the ground but it will fill very quickly......

Will be interesting to see if the same excitement/attendance is generated as when HP hosted this game against Doveton. On those 2 occasions it was massive, biggest days in the clubs history.

Parkers will get up comfortably (i hope )
