Know for a fact that Thomas was shopping around for a new club. Pretty ordinary effort due to how much grace Hallam gave him last year!

I heard they weren’t fussed about losing him.
I also heard he got singled out and sprayed after their last final as a big reason for their early exit. So much so that it would have been an easy choice to leave. I wasn’t there though, maybe someone from Hallam can confirm?

Too many weight's not enough speed work , got way too ahead of themselves last year , all good to finish on top convincingly and think your shit don't stink but at the end of the day if you dont preform in finals it worth about as much as a terd in the hand
Write off Hallam at your own peril... if anyone can remain competitive despite a substantial list of exits its them. One of the very few clubs in the league with 1s,2s,3 & under 19s. Have heard a good chunk of there senior players have recommitted & there recently retired captain did a great job recruiting (teacher at school in the area i believe) over the years.
Hampton Park the great unknown but money does talk.
Looking forward to actually having most games really competitive this season, shouldn't be any massacres like last year facing up against the likes of dandy and sandown.
Black Rock who were Div 2 in 2016 & weren't far off the pace last season are not even rated anymore!!

I will have to eat a slice of humble pie here, I had no idea how serious the situation was. Really seemed as if they were building into something pretty significant last season before the straight sets stumble. Under 19s coach has crucified years of hard work!!
