Depending on your definition of transitioning, between 3% and 0.15% of people who transition regret transitioning.

I acknowledge that this still leaves a subset of the population that regrets their transition, but 3% of what is already a small percentage of the population (39 from 10,000 individuals) is much lower than the binary you're proposing as equal.

That examples exist does not entail that those examples are representative of a wider population.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a read.

Apparently we are getting stuck with a "magic round" what ever the * that is.
Not sure there are that many Magicians in Oz that need a hand up and recognition.
Are there any? Are they being marginalised?
Why does the AFL care about magicians?

Happy for a Pride round in it's place.
At least it would have a point other than sucking the dick of the broadcasters.

Its a magic round because the NRL had that initiative and its regarded as a success.

Gil doesnt want the AFL copy to be called a magic round because .....

Yep. She’s the very definition of a bigot, actually.

If you want to be truly tolerant, you have be intolerant of intolerance. Of course, many people can’t get their heads around that.
To understand a man you must stand under him!

Seeing alot of AFL cheersquads incorporate rainbow colours into their flags each week. Seems to have more and more acceptance.

Without getting myself reported...
I have zero issues with the idea of pride round and i think it's a great move to celebrate diversity and make people feel welcome in the sport

however
you can't just keep making gimmick rounds up every week
otherwise there will be a different Guernsey every week

old post, but that's generally something factored in i would imagine. you can bank on plenty of people paying for any scrap of fabric associated with their team of choice. i mean, there's no real reason for an away jumper at the end of the day but here we are.

Some (possibly most) AFL clubs have their own LGBT supporter groups.
There definitely seems to be grassroots support amongst fans at club level for LGBT issues.

However unlike the AFLW, the AFL has yet to take the step of a pride round.

They may have been deterred by the experience of the Manly NRL side who attempted to incorporate rainbow piping to its game day jumper, only to be met by a backlash from about half a dozen of its own players on religious grounds whom elected to sit out the match under the guise of "not being consulted".

However it is of note that the Saints and Swans in the AFL have incorporated rainbow colours in its jumpers for years.

It's AFLW Pride round time again.

Still highlights the huge contrast in willingness to visually and openly acknowledge the LGBTQIA+ community compared to the AFL.
