Hahaha you sign with West Coast full well knowing that your going to have to travel. What’s incorrect about that statement. Or is the truth inconvenient
Your statement is not incorrect but is ignorant of facts.
facts
1)..There is a team called West Coast.
2)..They must have players.
3)..The only other option for players in West Aus is to move to Victoria.
4)..There is no reason for the AFL to instill all that travel.
You sound like a school boy/girl.

Whats that got to do with what I said. It’s a choice and the players are well aware of what the consequences of that choice are.
It has everything to do with the statement "After the compulsory draft years they’re not forced to stay on those states they do it by choice "

If you also complain about homesick players whinging, you are a hypocrite as well as a fool.

Never whinged about homesick players. That’s THEIR choice

Taking Eddie's advice, since some of these Vic clubs have a bad record travelling, maybe they should choose to play their home games outside of Victoria and get some more experience there.

that’s right there are and no one is forced to play there. Every player on your list has chosen to play there and with that comes with the expectation you have to travel

tell me what I’ve said is incorrect. It’s truth mate and you dicks can’t handle it. It laughable that the sooking and whinging has not let up.

Didn't take long to find. Not every player has chosen to play at WC. Draftees are sent to clubs, they don't choose.

No doubt I'll be shot down, but we can assume that each team will should have 8 or 9 'home games'. Can't the WA and SA teams then be based in SA or WA for 8 or 9 weeks, then head to a hub (i.e. wherever Eddie selects) for the 2nd half?

If there can be an agreement between the two safe states (WA and SA) for open border there, the travelling club (e.g. Richmond, OMG!) can play Adelaide and Port in 2 weeks, then head to WA to play Freo and WC for the next 2 weeks, then come back to finish v the other Vic clubs.

Actually, that doesn't work. Richmond would have to spend 6 weeks away in a row.

Scrap that idea

You did well right up to the last condescending part. I was about to agree with you before you turned into a dick post

Are you joking? There are no direct Perth - Launceston flights. There is a stop over in Melbourne, hang at the airport for a couple of hours after your 3.5hr flight, then head back the next day.
There has been direct flights for both Perth teams to Launceston since about 2003.

The whole we have to stop in Melbourne is a myth based on Freo having some horror trip there back in 2002 when they had to stopover in Melbourne. The AFL fixed it shortly afterwards and it became part of the Qantas and then Virgin sponsorship deals. They fly 2 days before and return straight after the game. The educated posters from the Freo and Eagles board will confirm this. There is a thread somewhere years back with screenshots of airport departures/arrivals confirming this and a link to a flight database confirming it back to 2005.

There’s travel which is to be expected, then there’s extensive travel which is easily avoidable

traveling over 70,000 kms isn’t necessary. Handing us more continuous games with a 6 day break than any other club isn’t necessary.

I fully expected us to play a virtual b team for our trip to Geelong this year looking at our fixture

the gap between games is a seperate issue, and with that after travel I agree. 6 day break from home game to an away game is fair enough but I don’t think it’s right back the other way. For any club not just the WA clubs. But to say as some other posters are suggesting that you shouldn’t have to travel as much as you do is incorrect. No matter what, teams outside of vic are going to have to travel at least 9-10 times. It’s unavoidable.
The gap between is a seperate issue all together

At least you don’t try to hide your intent in this thread is to Richmond bash.

When we cop 2 trips to Queensland, without playing either of them in Perth. A trip to Launceston with no direct flights, while certain clubs get to avoid going there altogether

Then a trip to Geelong to top it off, the distances and traveling time is completely avoidable and should be

If you google direct flights Perth to Launceston, it’s doughnuts.

There's plenty of quality stadiums in VIC for the WA teams to be temporarily based at.
For example:
Fremantle - North Port Oval, Port Melbourne
West Coast - Point Gellibrand Oval, Williamstown
