AFLW 2024 - Round 6 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Absolutely not.
All clubs have to treated the same or the competition becomes a joke. I for one would refuse ro respect any flags won by WA clubs with salary cap concessions.
Read on soldierA GWS supporter talking about being treated the same or the competition becomes a joke..........
I've argued for a long time that the WA teams should get a COTA (Cost of Travel Allowance) as compensation for the fact that historically speaking, players careers are shorter out West because of the travel.
Players earn less out West than they do in Melbourne because of the shorter career span.
Like all the concessions your club gets give me a spell the AFL's team has been set up like no other and can't possibly fail with all the rubbish concessions you guys get turn it up about having no respect for winning a premiership under that premise.Absolutely not.

For what its worth i don't think the eagles or dockers should get any concessions nor should the rest of the comp
Better change the basket case you support then. All concessions are to bring every other club up to our level.
Perhaps a COTA - Cost of Tissue Allowance - for Melbourne clubs would be fair. You're not going to get anywhere near the respect for winning premierships as other teams who aren't getting propped up by the AFL do, so you might as well just accept it and be humble about it.
Adelaide is awesome mate. I'm glad you hate it though.I would support an Adelaide team based allowance due to two factors;
1. Most boring city in the country
2. Serial killer incidence
Have they been flying around for over 100 years?West Coast have been in the 'comp' the same amount of time as all Victorian clubs...
Nah I rather just give Draftees and rookies 2-3 year deals at $150,000 a year. That amount of money they can live off more than bread amd waterEvery club should get a salary cap concession of an extra $20,000 for a player who is on under $300,000 a year but who is from another state.
I wouldn't expect Victorians to understand this issue. We are the minority here. So no offence to all you Vics, but it really isn't your issue to discuss.
Last time I checked the 'comp' began in 1990. So no. I don't think any club has.Have they been flying around for over 100 years?
So you're basing this solely on the swings and roundabouts of the property market? This article is more recent than yours and spins it a different way.

Perth housing market is cheap, slow price growth means its easy for cashed up footballers to land a bargain, no concessions for you.
Dont worry when the mining boom finally finishes the cost of living and house prices will plummet
