Sure. But 4.5 to 0.2 in a quarter? You don't win many of those games. We played great for 3 quarters and grimmly held on, and but for the odd bounce (which we know all about from previous Showdowns) we would be shattered.
Don't think Port fans are unhappy about that infamous Monfries goal and subsequent win... Nor should we be unhappy with what we did. Ran out of legs but comprehensively outscored them for three quarters and it was enough. Enjoy the win :)

Good old rowey mentioning vb was great in the sanfl, for players to come back next week. The best part of the win was winning with the young boys who didn't let us down.

Knight was a big reason we won. Did more than not let us down.

That's why I asked if it was booing because the same sound came through the tv through the applause as during the presentations.

Not from what I heard. Just heard applause. When the medal n trophy was given there was applause and cheering with a obvious booing.

Detractors

Let's give Thommo a week off or the the season , Jenkins a few, martin best 22 for a while and Hartigan deserves special mention

Wright was a pass today , I don't rate him but credit where credit is due

Riley knight is an AFl player so always room for some youth when they are ready

Lever will be in the top 5 from that draft despite going pick 14, so let's celebrate our recruiters too

Time to reflect and celebrate being a crows supporter , it phils good

heck yeah guys and gals !!!!!

We are adelaide and the pride

I'm going to be a bit different, and, say i didn't mind that there was a little booing right at the end... more of a signal that things are starting to return back to normal in regards to footy.

It didn't happen during the round of applause which was good to see as well.

Finally starting to feel normal again. I was hyperventilating there for a long while. Blood pressure through the roof. Although I'm proud the boys hung on, it was Port's poor kicking that lost it for them. At least we can enjoy the feeling of victory.

Will the Port player who poked Sauce in the eye get sighted?
Actually I disagree - it wasn't Ports kicking that killed it for them - it was their lack of clearances, poor midfield and the sheer fact we wanted that far more than they did - even when we lost Tahlia and Sauce for part of the match. I'm enjoying it thoroughly and so proud of the boys - to lose by a few points hurts more than a walloping. And we deserved to win - we got off to a great start and led ALL day.

Sauce is lucky he is still sighted.

Pure accident.
