My tip is Wellingham won't play, and Blair will come back in for him late.

It will all depend on whether or not Wellingham pulls up sore after training tomorrow.

Correct selections, couldn't have picked a better side.:thumbsu:

Poor Blair... However, possibly our strongest side put together so far this year?

edit: Bartel is in for West, no Pods.

Pretty much what was expected.

Another good game from Medders this week and I'd expect him to play next week, maybe with Fraser. Medders likes the Bombers.

CATS
B: Josh Hunt - Matthew Scarlett - Tom Lonergan
HB: Corey Enright - Harry Taylor - James Kelly
C: Andrew Mackie - Cameron Ling - Joel Corey
HF: Paul Chapman - Tom Hawkins - Jimmy Bartel
F: Steve Johnson - Cameron Mooney - Travis Varcoe
Foll: Brad Ottens - Joel Selwood - Gary Ablett
Int : Mathew Stokes, Shannon Byrnes, David Wojcinski, Darren Milburn
Emerg: James Podsiadly, Trent West, Simon Hogan
5:03
In - Bartel, out - West

Shaw has to play on the wing now.
Can't have Goldsack, Maxwell, O'Brien and Shaw in the one backline.

Good changes, that's the best side we could put on the field. Now we wait and see how our best match up to Geelongs.

For mine, this is the best side we can field. Medhurst could potentially come into the side, but only on 2008 form.

I love little Blairy and Nate, but there is no point taking risks with this game. It's a huge game, not the be all and end all, but would be very handy for our confidence coming into the finals.

Nate and Jarryd will get plenty of chances throughout their careers.

Good side.

How Medders isn't an emergency is beyond me.

His form over the last 4 weeks has been well and truly good enough to warrant senior selection, let alone a spot as an emergency. He is much better than Lockyer.

:thumbsu: My thoughts exactly.

For interests sake, the changes from the Round 9 side:

B: Heath Shaw, Ben Reid, Ben Johnson
HB: Harry O’Brien, Nick Maxwell, Sharrod Wellingham
C: Luke Ball, Dane Swan, Alan Toovey
HF: Shane O’Bree, Travis Cloke, Alan Didak
F: Dayne Beams, Brent Macaffer, Leon Davis
Foll: Darren Jolly, Scott Pendlebury, Dale Thomas
I/C: Nathan Brown, Chris Dawes, Steele Sidebottom, Cameron Wood

Out: N.Brown, Wood, O'Bree
In: Prestigiacomo, L. Brown, Goldsack

Is it just me or does this situation with so many rebounding defenders match up extremely well with geelongs attacking side.

In thoery we are playing almost 2 extra natural defenders in this game with a line up of 8 full time backs:

Johnson
Shaw
Reid
Presti
Toovey
Goldsack
Obrien
Maxwell...

A few will play big type lock down rolls on the key cats with Maccaffer perhaps providing an extra defender on their own half bank line. The rebounding ability will suit us perfectly against the cats as shown by Essendon and Carlton this year. To me Goldys and maccaffers form has come at a great time for this club.

Bring them pussies on i got a good feeling we will demolish them :)

I think were probably looking at our best side as rated by MM at the moment against theres

I think one more change was needed

Medders in, lockyer out

Unless medders is on the outer at the club i dont think he should be out of the team considering his form

Great side and good to see pods still out...gives us a 2 vs 2 big man match up down back

Im getting excited now

Out and In reversed? Can't remember the teams from memory Round 9 but your Outs are In the team and the Ins are missing...

Ottens the only ruckman? Hawkins to ruck? That's gotta be a positive.

Hawkins vs L. Brown is basically a 0-0 draw in the ruck duties and i think thats why its been selected like that, gives them a bit more run

Im looking forward to ottens v jolly
