Heard it will be YJ if he coaches anywhere. Second Division is all sewn up with the three recruits Belgrave have with there coach they are certainties.

Unless there 3 recruits are buddy franklin, chris judd and adam goodes i highly doubt it. Half their 1s played in the 2s GF this year and they still lost.

Bumped into a player from the boys in green sat and they are very excited about a player from the nth heidleberg tigers, also said they will be strong again and have added some depth! Only player that have lost is creeper! Maybe the regulars on here from the windy part of the valley can tell us more....

I have spoken to 4 greenies from windy valley, 3 of which are big name players, who have ALL (and I quote and categorically state this) been asked/told that they will be be taking a paycut, which has unsettled the nest a little, although they are staying on. Being Einstein and putting 2 and 2 together, is this to pay for their new recruit? It isn't to pay for Travis, because Turbo paid for that....

Ronison, you are our Hellgrave boy, so maybe you could shed some light on your new recruits, instead of being secretive and probing to see what we know? Just an idea. I know of one person who was up and down (Seniors/Reserves) in a Wooden Spoon team from Div 2 in the past few years, who transferred to Mulgrave and played Seniors all year, so by promoting that they played at Mulgrave doesn't necessarily mean he's a jet. (although he will probably come out and win the league B&F now i've said that!) Have you guys managed to hold on to Stubley? He will probably shine very brightly with a nucleus of good players around him.

What are YJ gonna spend their $30k on? Players? Coach? Equipment? Facilities?

Anyone know what the outcome was from Thornton's meeting? Is it set in concrete that they will be returning?

Welcome back BlueBoy, I look forward to BlueBoy Vs The Finger v2.0.:thumbsu:

.....

Told you last December that Emerald would win the GF on the back of there two or three new recruits. Belgrave will do the same. Second Division is deplorable.

Old job not paying the bills fingered? Obviously you are now bank telling at the financial institution that holds wandins finances. That could be the only reason you would know the state of the football clubs affairs. Oh that or your idol/crush Andy Goodwin told you.......
By the way, what happened after you blokes bought that flag in 2000?

Hear Tyson Wheeler from YJ also jumping on the gravy train at the dogs. Didnt he go to another club a fews back for big coin also???

lol he played 4 games last season, so good on him having a go at Box Hill and 1st Div EFL. Hes most likely played about 50>80 games in the YVMDFL, rep the league, played in a few GFs winning and looseing at 23>24yrs old he wants to see how he will go. But i do like the ending line, it would be hard to entice them to come for a run there i suppose.

Burnt out - the line about Adam Simpson was simply a gag. Woori do it better than most with bringing in juniors and integrating afl / experienced players. The old man monkhurst does a great contra deal I have been told :) free plumping for another shot at glory. The key thing is that he has been able to deliver. On both fronts. Hopefully he can help d Ryan continue to keep woori strong.

Finger - being a flog is not just a past time for you, but a way of life. Your pitiful attempt to to tie in a Silvan reference is more obvious that your other 'thought provoking' posts on this forum.

We all exist to win premierships don't we? Or should there be only 3 or 4 good sides? The WFC have been near the bottom for long enough. Also, will be interested to see the 'exodus' come early Feb. or better yet, get down to the lily dale bowls club tomorrow night. I believe there will be around 10 to 15 blokes there launching the 2012 season - all paid for.

Also finger - your attempts to distance yourself from all clubs speaks volumes too. Hopefully not too cryptic for you...

Certainly don't think all is well at brookers lol jks! Maybe the pay cut is starting to take it's toll! Have it on very good authority that aj walker has trained at east ring the last two weeks! He works with the president and is very close to putting pen to paper! Maybe this will put the WIND up a few of the power brokers up there!

Had a look on the league website today and it seems that everyone has a coach except for thornton (are the reforming next year?) YJ and Powelly? Trouble for those sides?

Are YG disappointed in having to go straight back into Divvy 2?

Thornton have not been able to get up for this year, so just 8 in Div 2, and yes YG are very dissappointed to be going back to Divy 2, they had many chances to win more games but just fell a few points short too often.

Thornton Eildon have been working hard over 2011 to renter the Competition in 2012, unfortunately they have been unsuccessful in attracting enough players to participate in 2012 and therefore will not be fielding any teams in 2012, hence the Division 2 competition will be an 8 team competition.* With this in mind some clubs will play each other 3 times during the season.*
This occurs from Round 15 – Round 18.
*
Division 1 & Division 2 will both start on the 14th April 2012 with a BYE for both Divisions for the WorkSafe VCFL Country Championships (Interleague) on the 26th May 2011 and an additional BYE for Division 1 on the 21st July 2012 due to the ACFC (Landmark Australian Country Football) Championships.

Grand Finals – Division 2 15th September 2012 and Division 1 22nd September 2012

Partof the email that came out with the preliminary fixture

Just seeing if your sources were on holiday or not :) I believe all new recruits have been choosen to fill a current void, and the Mulgrave boy was their Full Forward. Guess we will know more after seeing them at training next week.
Also to ease your mind Stubley signed a few months ago and his father is on the 2012 committee.

Hey, does anyone know if Yea's coach for 2012 is the same Gary Cutler who was reserves coach at Northcote Park in 2011?

Jason De Graf is def coaching Yarra Junction in 2012. Last club he coached was Chirnside Park, and with big Dan Ryan playing there a few years ago, will be interesting to see how many come across.

Not much about First Division on here but somebody told me at the pub last night that Upwey are actually going to try and win the flag again this year-what a cheek

I thought Danny Ryan was heading back to chirnside park and taking batten with him? May have changed since degraaf has come over

News is that Kinglake players Mitch Newton and Reece Walsh have done thier dash in Canberra after being given the oppurtunity of a lifetime to play state footy in the NEAFL.

Rumuors are the Canberra based club arranged jobs and accomodation for them and in a short period of time they had been sacked from thier jobs, destroyed thier accomodation and caused all sorts of trouble.

I am told they left town in a hurry and owe money all over Canberra with people chasing them.

Apparently they signed contracts and the Canberra club that signed them will hold them to thier contracts to teach them a lesson.

Seems they will not be playing football for a few years!

The contracts are useless until the clearance has been submitted and approved-prior to that happening you can sign all the contacts you like

Shows what you know about contracts Upwey Fan, a AFL state league contract is binding and you can only be released by the club or gain a release when leaving a Cat 2 State League (TFL, NEAFL) to a Cat 1 State League (VFL, SANFL, WAFL) or direct onto an AFL list, these are not mickey mouse VCFL contractys but ones drafted by the AFL in the last 12 months and the clearances to State Leagues are automatic no approval needed when leaving VCFL clubs once a contract is signed
