Whilst its obvious that something is rotten up the line at WC, it's interesting to see that the huge amount of injuries the team is copping may partly be a by product of this as well.
Wait, so you're going completely against popular consensus and saying that Simmo ain't no softy?

Ainsworth a chance?

Interesting they mention getting specialist opinions for Oneil and Langdon. Are we outsourcing our injuries now?

Langdon rolled an ankle, needs a specialist opinion. Bloody hell things are in shambles.

So now we critic's of the club getting specialist medical opinions? Really?

What would you suggest?

Do other clubs seek medical opinions from specialsts? Or does Hawthorn directly employ all the best surgeon's and injury experts in the country and they only work for the Hawks?

Fitness staff, sure have a crack. But with serious injury you use both internal and external specialists.

A rolled ankle didn’t sound like a serious injury to me.

Probably more so if you train well and play well in WAFL you get selected in the AFL team. The senior guys probably put no effort in their training because they are guaranteed a game anyway

At the end of the article about the 7 players at the Hip-E club, Nisbett says they’re looking at possibly moving some players onto the LTI list, and that they’ve had advice that some might not come back this year?? So that could be Nic Nat, Allen maybe, Chesser?? Seems like we’ll get a few nasty surprises on the injury front in the next few weeks…….

Chesser’s already on the inactive list, as is Cole.

Luke Edwards has had groin issues for months now, Allen likewise with his foot and Joyce with his ankle. Wouldn't surprise me if one or more of these guys were wiped for the year.

I don't think there's an argument anymore that we have mishandled Covid worse than all the other teams. We came back physically diminished from lockdowns, sulked in hubs, whinged about our soft cap cuts etc. This year we seem to have decided to fix three years of shit preseasons in one go and instead physically destroyed our squad.

Just keep resting everyone, i don't care. Sheed, Allen, Cole, Shuey, Naitanui. Take the year off.

Our club is a little slow sometimes and try to play the 'we're such a proud club' card too much.

What will make us a proud club is by resting these players and continuing to tank. This means playing Williams as first ruck.

Also bringing in Ainsoworth as the first top up player. These things will fast track our tank and land us a high pick.

Just looking at the team as a collective, it doesn’t look as if the preseason was that taxing….
