How do the players keep getting infections? From my - granted - limited understanding of medicine that wounds tend to get infected after being exposed to something dirty then not being cleaned afterwards.

Waterman I can understand after having digits in teammate's anuses but what are the other guys doing?

I find it works extra well when you say that to cops.

It hasn't helped me so far, but I can tell the boys in blue respect my contribution to civil society.

Did you blow smoke in their face after saying it too? That usually helps emphasise the point.

M8 that eagle is in way worse a state than our injury list.

Basically chucks 1/10 of a lap then swoops down for a feed ignoring the trainer pleading desperately for her to piss off and keep flying.

Needs to be put to pasture along with thicc boi Naitanui.
Time to bring the reserve Eagle in - I can't remember its name though

This thread was started in February, just under 4 months ago. Now closing in on 117 pages. Disclaimer: I'm probably responsible for 40-45.

I'm gonna say a lot of us aren't happy with the management of our injured players.

I think it's fair to an extent. The Eagles have a habit of withholding information like it's still 1989 as if it's an advantage to not advise what's actually wrong with players or where they're at - despite already knowing they're injured. And this stems down to our Beagles players. Fair enough keeping niggles a secret so they can't be exposed at the next game by an opponent, but it's usually far beyond that.

The club exists because of fans and members, without us they don't have any money. Some transparency would be nice - like do we actually know what's exactly wrong with Duggan yet?

I agree, a couple of years ago I really couldn't have cared less, but the amount of lying and the obvious and pointless nature of the lying has just become more and more absurd.

Maybe in the 90s there was some conceivable match day advantage to talking bullshit about injuries, but in the modern world clubs know each others list, they have access to the same information sources as journos ans plan for all the obvious eventualities - even if that weren't the case, the idea that teams that are routinely destroying west coast by 15 goals are hanging out to find out if eg Josh Rotham is back on Tuesday rather than Thursday is laughable.

Yes it is maddening for fans but worse than that I think it has become part of the culture of the club in a much more damaging way. If you routinely lie to everyone else it is a short step to start deluding yourself and that is evident in everything west coast do- I think they've actually got to the point where the club is lying to itself, about where players are at, what their prognosis is, how long they have left, who needs replacing and who needs the arse.

The decision to re-sign naitanui in complete defiance of reality, dithering about what to do for half a season, passing up a spot in the mid season draft, making the decision without informing the head coach, is symptomatic of a club which is struggling to be honest with itself let alone its fans.

Rolling into this season seriously believing we could rely on 3-4 senior players who are obviously carrying chronic and likely career ending injuries, acting shocked when they repeatedly break down, are rushed back and break down again is part of the same problem, as is backing in utterly mediocre guys who any clear eyed list manager would have delisted years ago.

For mine there is absolutely no doubt that Nisbett needs to go and Gary Stocks with him. If a club isn't accountable and honest and its top levels I don't know how you can expect players to be accountable and honest with each other about their onfield performances or training.

There's a reserve eagle?
Auzzie isn't actually far away from retirement, so they've got a successor being trained - has been for a few years now.

I believe it has a Whadjak name, but it doesn't spring to mind.

So the Matchday Eagle department is better organized than the actual football club.

**** me. Campaigners.

I spent a good 15 minutes trying to find the pics but alas to no avail. In 2018 Waterman celebrated at least 2 different teammate's first goals (from memory) by running up to them and getting knuckle deep.
