Not sure if this thread has been done this year but tonight might be a good night to bring it back...

Slaps

Hudson - best by a mile.

Lake - did alright given our defence was under siege.

Picken - battled hard as always.

Grant - continues to impress, poor kid hardly got a skerrick of support tonight but still played well.

Hall - 5 goals in that performance is a pretty good effort.

Sledges (this will be fun)

Higgins - seriously, WTF?! I seriously cannot believe how awful he was.

Akermanis - gee, haven't you responded well from your awesome little gay bashing article? Get back to the twos, STFU and play football.

Giansuiracusa - absolutely sick of defending him. Continuesto go missing at crucial stages. For a so called club leader his performance tonight was absolutely embarrassing.

Hill - disgraceful lazy twat, but hey, what else is new?

Hargrave - having a very poor season, does he have any awareness anymore?

Cooney - from one extreme to the other. Awesome last week, terrible tonight. They clearly had done their homework on him and swarmed on him, but he had moments where he could have helped and hardly caused any damage at all.

Cross/Boyd - give these 2 a little latitude given they hardly ever play badly, but still, pretty disappointing.

Minson - got absolutely creamed tonight.

Addison - I am a fan, but very poor effort.

Have I missed anyone? Seemed like everyone deserves a spray.

What a crap night.

What a crap night.
Are you high o_O i thought he was okay in tight stoppages tonight.

Slaps

Hudson - Clearly best, one of most consistent this year.

Lake - Did well, but Essendon also played him well after half time leading him away from play with decoy to isolate Williams, team needs to work around this better.

Picken - Put his head over every contest.

Griffen, not as good as has been but one of the few willing to take game on, made a couple of errors, but his good work far outweighed his bad.

Sledges

Higgins - Biggest disappointment of season, hopefully returns to permanent forward where he played so well last year.

Cooney - Worst kicking display I have ever seen from him.

Harbrow - See above, creamed by Davey and Jetta.

Aker - Could be hamstrings playing up, could be not fit, could be pressure of last week, could be he simply played a year too long, poor tonight, even poorer than he has been most of season.

Stack - Just like last year 1 game wonder, so far out of his depth it isn't funny, better be back to Willi next week.

SLAPS
Huddo - thought he was our best on the night
Grant - the only genuine spark, seemed to be the one that really sucked it up and put in.
Hill - encouragement reward for what appeared to be a better effort.
Griffen - carried a few blokes in the midfield tonight.

SLEDGES
Aker - poor game, needs to sort his shit out.
Higgins - biggest disappointment of 2010. Should be dropped IMO. Or played in the forward line.
Gia - phantom performance
Boyd / Cross / Cooney - pants pulled down.
Rocket - did not address some serious concerns well enough tonight.

SLAPS
Huddo - need i say more? was brilliant.
Grant - its all been said already. very promising
hill was decent
5 goals for hall is good thought he presented well

SLEDGES
aker was no good
higgins very disappointing
cooney provided good run but shocking disposal especially going inside 50
stack was quiet
lakes missed marks. missed too many uncontested marks. not good enough for him
addison did little to nothing. make way for everitt next week.

SLAPS

The bearded one - was fantastic...his teammates let him down
Grant - showing some promise
Griff - had a dip
Brian - pretty good
Morro - had his usual dip
BBB - than god hwas playing
Minson - I thought he did reaosnably well in the ruck

SLEDGES

Higgins - Has to be unfit or injured
Stack/Aker - did they get a touch
Hill - whilst he showed a little, it took a haf tierev up to get him to chase when we didn't have the ball
Addison - game was a bit too quick but at least he has a crack
Most of the team - too many passengers last night - too lazy, not prepared to run whereas Essendon was - if we are serious we need to start really having a dip rather than starting of half asleep and then a few players get going and are prepared to run...ALL need to have a dip, follow Huddo's lead from last night and RUN

I forgot one other sledge

Peter Dean - interviewed on ABC radio just before the game and said he had never seen the boys so switched on before a match. You got me a good one Peter! What's with our starts?

Slaps
Hudson.. Without him, the dogs would be screwed
Lake - Doesnt often go through a game without making a dubious decision, but you cant underrate his value and form this year
Hall - kicked 5, could have kicked more but was serviceable considering
Griffen - had a few clangers, but he never gives up
Grant - a bright light up forward who's shaping into a real product.

Sledges
Aker.. enough said
Higgins.. cant keep riding on the coat tails of his 2009 form
Addison... poor form and skills
Hahn.... the guy looks like he'd move faster in a wheelchair than what he does when he's running

Missing in action - those who were there.. but only just
Cooney.... hangover from last week?
Boyd... quiet in comparison
Hill... always does just enough to maintain his place without putting an effort it
Williams - overrated, underskilled.. trying though.
Gia - held well
Cross - innefective
Morris & Harbrow.. Down on usual standards without being bad overall.
Picken - Usually doesnt give his opponent an inch. Last night he gave him a paddock.
Minnow - looking like a shell of his former self... sad to see.

The players have been well covered. Thank god for the Bearded One.

Sledge - Our fans. Where were they? I know tickets can be hard to get at Essendon home games at Etihad, but last night was ridiculous....I got seats next to the Bulldogs' race and was surrounded by Red and Black. :(

I reakon it will be worse next week.

You didnt see much of his 32 disposals? The leading disposal player on the ground

Hmmm interesting didnt see much only time I really saw him was when he missed the set shot, But I was sitting on the other side of the ground from where the TV was so couldn't see the stats!

Hmm when it comes down to it Disposals hardly mean anything Lake had 41 last week and i believe Cooney was B.O.G for me, I saw alot of Gumbleton Winderlich and Jetta.

Yes I agree Disposals don't mean alot if you don't have an impact. Although when watching the game, I was trying to figure out who was Stantons direct opponent, as he had a paddock of space during the stoppages and bounces. I only read it here that Picken was the supposive "Tagger".

Yes i agree you guys ran us off our legs, Picken played well though has played well coming back from injury hope the boys coming back from injury can do this as well, Best of luck to your mob in 010.

Slaps

Hudson- One of his best games in the red, white & blue guernsey. Took a couple of important grabs and moved up forward which was a surprise to me.

Grant- Our shining light for 2010. His second and third efforts whilst applying defensive pressure for a tall fella like him is amazing. Hopefully he can maintain this form for the remainder of the year.

Lake & Morris- Both kept their opponents to minimal scores as usual. Most of their goals from memory came from their small forwards and midfielders.

Griffen- Having a great 2010 year. Appeared to cop a knock early in the game but refused to let it hamper his game. Should be a top 5 B&F this yr.

Sledges

Higgins- IMO his worst game of his career. Everything he did was ineffective. I'm a massive fan of Higgins, but he seems to be carrying an injury.

Hahn- I placed a bet on him scoring the first goal @ $11 and he let me down...Didn't have a big impact on the game.

Hargrave- seems to look disinterested at times during the game. Hasn't had a great year.

BTW is it just me or has the whole team forgotten what the word shepherd means? I don't think I've seen a shepherd applied by any of the bulldog players this yr (except for one on friday night off the play which resulted in a bombers free kick).
