Surely a first for the leagues history with 2 sides that come runner up last season getting promoted and both coming runners up again in the division higher

It will entirely depend on the number of clubs. In an ideal world the SFNL will pick up a couple of clubs which will ensure Div 3 & 4 can remain.

There are rumors that some VAFA clubs are interested in moving to Southern, however, until it officially happens it is just speculation.

The alternative might be for South Yarra and Cerberus to return from recess, but this would be more of a pipe dream than a reality.
