Aish played with Norwood and Port Adelaide is the Biggest Rival and they where Black and White

I fail to see any possible relationship in a SANFL rivalry between Port & Norwood and any AFL clubs.

Port have zero to do with Collingwood, zero, inferring that they do is ridiculous.

Why Aish chose Collingwood would have nothing to do with their colours and everything to do with the status and location of the club.

As for Josh Schache, that boy is on a mission and it includes Brisbane. The death of his Dad, Laurence, while Josh was very young is a powerful influence on a young boy. I know this, my Dad died when I was young. The legacy and the respect for his family has to draw Josh to the Lions.

Certainly coming from Seymour, Schache would already be used to wearing the Lions' colours.

"I think that'd be pretty cool if I ended up at Brisbane. I could go back to where dad was and finish off what he did there,"
Also tough to have got home factor when home is in Seymour (marginally better than Adelaide imo).

Tbh the annual Brisbane player exodus means the onus should be on you to provide reasons why they won't leave.

1. I was responding to such a claim that they will.
2. I have given reasons.

Haven't really read any good counter argument that Schache, Hipwood, Keays and Allison will leave the Lions at the end of their two year contract, other than Aish did.

And incidentally Brisbane haven't had any more players leave than what most other clubs have. Four have arrived.

As I said, Brisbane haven't had any more players leave than what most other clubs have. Four have arrived. I doubt Bell and Bastinac are "rejects".
Neither of them are good enough to get games for top 8 sides. Their recruitment may improve Brisbane's best 22 but that says more about the condition of Brisbane's list than the quality of those two players. They are rejects in every sense of the word and not the type of players that a club at the beginning of a rebuild and with future top 8 aspirations should be investing in. Walker is so bad that I doubt he is even in Brisbane's best 22.

Bastinac did get games for a Top 8 side this year. 17 of them. He got 25 games for a Top 8 side last year too including three finals.

Bell and Walker didn't play for a Top 8 side. But then again neither did Aish or Treloar.

Their recruitment may improve Brisbane's best 22 but that says more about the condition of Brisbane's list than the quality of those two players.

Brisbane's list was ravaged by injury in 2015, so don't get too excited by the poor condition of Brisbane's list.

They are rejects in every sense of the word and not the type of players that a club at the beginning of a rebuild and with future top 8 aspirations should be investing in.

Let me guess. They should be investing in draft picks. Brisbane aren't at the beginning of a rebuild. Carlton is. The rebuild at Brisbane has been happening since the start of 2013. Beams, Christenson, Robinson, Bastinac, Bell will be in their late twenties in five years time.

Both Redden and Aish have been very adequately replaced by Bell and Bastinac respectively. In the short to medium term, Bastinac will fill in for Aish in the short to medium term. Ben Keays will be a longer term replacement. Not to mention Schache and Hipwood. Effectively the Lions have traded their way into taking potentially three Top 15 picks in this year's draft.

Walker is so bad that I doubt he is even in Brisbane's best 22.

Walker will be in Brisbane's best 22 and will be an adequate short term replacement for Staker, until Schache, Freeman. Close and McStay develop a little fiurther. The Lions tended to play a little better with a bigger key forward for the midfield to target.

Now what's all this got to do with the so-called "annual Brisbane player exodus" you claimed was happening, apart from you taking an opportunity to have a pot-shot at Brisbane's trading?

Quality analysis. I know it's solid posting like this that keeps me coming back.

Wasn't the Captain also said to not get along with all the Players on the List. That some like Redden was Rumored wanted to leave because of that?

Mmmm. Plenty of falsehoods, plenty of debunking, but a lie will go around the world twice while the truth is still getting its pants on because people like to believe the worst of every other club.

So nothing should be Believed what is Reported then?

This is media speculation only.

Redden said he wanted to find a new home to arrest his "average" form over the past two seasons.

"I’ve got so many great friends at Brisbane and have built up a lot of great relationships over the years. I respect the footy club so much. That’s why this is so hard. I just feel like my football has gone stale over the past two years and I need a fresh start. I feel like a fresh environment will help me get back to playing to my potential."

Redden stressed that he was not homesick and was not chasing more money. Players leave clubs all the time for all sorts of reasons, including more opportunity, a fresh environment, homesickness and more money.

Anyway Redden goes and Bell comes in.

"It’s great to be wearing the jumper of the team I grew up supporting, it’s amazing,’" Bell said. "I’ve known Leppa for a fair while now and I definitely looked up to him..."

If I gave you any further info it would be very obvious from who gave it to me from the club and it would get them into a bit of trouble.

Believe what you want to believe, I really don't care what you choose to believe. Feel free to continue to blame it on the 'go home facter', whatever helps you sleep at night.

I thought so too but I've been told by the same person that it's crap. Rockliff may be pretty in your face but he is well liked by the playing group.

Like who?

I'm not going to tell you who gave me this info, I've already stated that.

If you don't believe me fine, I don't really care, it doesn't affect me at all. I'm just passing on what I've been told. I can also confirm that the rumours about your captain are crap, he is genuinely liked and admired by the playing group, my source is the same person.

Of course you're not. No one ever does. Lots of people have "inside information" though.

I actually didn't ask for the name of your "source". I asked which players?

If you don't believe me fine, I don't really care, it doesn't affect me at all. .

I take all claims from supporters of other clubs about what goes on at the Lions with a very big grain of salt. Some of us also talk to various Lions officials and the odd player.

Not that you care of course.
