Ginger Baker (1939-2019) drummer who died of heart failure after a long battle with lung disease and long-term heroin addiction

Robert Palmer (1949-2003) singer songwriter who died of a heart attack at the age of 54

Blaze Foley - Clay Pigeons


Blaze Foley (1949-1989) singer songwriter from Austin, Texas who was murdered by the son of a close friend. He was shot in the chest after confronting him over the theft of his friend's pension cheques. There was a murder trial and the father testified against his son, but he was a pisshead and discredited as an unreliable witness. The son beat the charges on the grounds of "self defence".




Moondog - Lament I, "Bird's Lament"


Louis Hardin AKA Moondog (1916-1999) the Viking of 6th Avenue, blind at 16, poet, artist, invented his own musical instruments and became a near permanent fixture on the streets of Manhattan, sometimes performing, but often standing silently like a statue. Died of heart failure at the age of 83





Linkin Park - In the End


Chester Bennington (1976-2017) singer songwriter who took his own life after battling depression, drug addiction and alcoholism.





Slayer - Dead Skin Mask


Jeff Hanneman (1964-2013) guitarist and chief songwriter of the band who died of liver failure due to alcoholism - not from a spider bite as was commonly reported (although he did get severely ill from a spider bite)

Eric Wright AKA Eazy-E (1964-1995) rapper from N.W.A. who died in hospital one month after being diagnosed with AIDS

Lesane Crooks AKA Tupac Shakur (1971-1995) rapper who was murdered in Las Vegas, gunned down while waiting at a red light
