All I can say to that is Steve Tyler is a complete ****wit. Presley gave songwriting credits to every song he covered. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. For Tyler - or anyone - else to say that Elvis stole them simply shows their stupidity and complete ignorance of musical history. Never mind the fact that Presley kinda invented rock 'n' roll.

And didn't Tyler base his entire look/image on Mick Jagger? Not only an idiot but a hypocrite as well.

I love this song and video clip. I may have nommed it once... Or not....

But the song could easily be taken as a loving God kind of song, but it doesn't sound gospel at all. I think it's clever and the old ladies are cute!

My point was sometimes it's important to look past the catchy tune and lovely vocals and ask what's the message here?

Yeah, that's fine but in this case that particular song was part of a gospel album. And I'm not religious at all, but I love the music, the feel of the song, and the vocals. The lyrics? Pfffttt. Who gives a ****. Unless it's a very talented lyricist, most lyrics are crap anyway.

But I'm a fan regardless. He did produce a whole load of crap in those forgettable mid '60's formula movies and then again in the mid '70's, but his good stuff is ****ing brilliant.

Elvis didn't invent SHIT, and to say he gave credit to every single song he covered is plain wrong. Half the songs he "covered' no one knew who wrote them in the first place. They had been covered for years by a great number of different black artist over many many years. Rolling stones did the same thing.
