I reckon Steve Earle was Elty.

Wow. Uncalled for. My Grandma didn't have an easy life. Grew up in a nunnery, didn't see her real mother for 42 years after they were torn apart. Never knew her father (wasn't on birth certificate). Died only 54 years old of a brain tumour (I was 2 years old).
She loved Elvis so much that when he died, her faith in God actually shattered a bit.
Wouldn't be surprised if she loved other music including those by black folk, I'll have to ask my mum. Disgusted you would say something like that... :(
I see dry humour is a no no.

I like dry humour, I consider my sense of humour to be like that. Was a step too far though. :/ It's even made me ask my own Mum about what other music she liked so I could prove you wrong lol

My mum said this lol:

Mum didn't particularly listen to black singers but I'm pretty sure she loved The Jordanaires who were Elvis's backup singers and they were black.

I don't remember mum being racist at all

She loved the gospel songs Elvis sung.

Why would he even make a comment like that. He didn't know her

Call him a dickhead and tell him that's dry humour!

LMAO I love my Mum hahaha. You've been told, _Rake_ :p
