Former Narre Warren star Nick Scanlon was appointed yesterday. Handy resume...

  • All Australian 2012.
Massive get by new president Robbie Imbriano for the Clays. Well done.
Great get! Let's just hope they can build from here, for the sake of the comp.

Can confirm he is getting $1100 a game and Ades $800 but Ades has being told to say he is only getting $550.
On that Walmsley & Freeman must be on $1000 a game or their getting ripped off

Rumoured Walmsley is on $150.00 someone has their head up their arse at Dingley if that is the case! Look forward to him getting a much better offer than that and leaving any time soon. Best player they have by a country mile!

Will be interesting to see how much loyalty the local Dingley local players have. As I can see them getting pretty sick & tired of getting underpaid year on year, while the club goes out and spends huge $$ on overpaid recruits. Have no dramas on paying blokes $1k a game if you have the money, but it is a joke if your league B&F player is running around on $150 only because he is local Dingley boy.

Not sure who our overpaid recruits are. Francis kicked 91 goals and Bolger was one of our best this year. Noodles did have a break out year. He isn't going to have a crack at Port for coin. If it doesn't work out at Port he will be looked after at Dingley. All the current word from the player group is that they can't wait for next year to start.

I couldn't wait either for next year to start after the effort they dished up on grand final, that was pathetic!

Hope he gets his money that's promised.

He will need to bring 10 players with him at least, at least 8 of their top 10 are gone. Douglas and a couple of others have shopped themselves around pretty hard. Morrison will stay, he got paid no doubt.
Another addition to dingley - Daniel Framer very soft forward ex collingwood and frankston 2nds - woo another tick to the d***oes

Early ladder prediction (end of H & A) for Div 1 ahead of preseason starting next week for some.

1.Dingley: rumours aplenty on how they're adding to their strong list. Will add strong u/19s to the side also. POSITION: 1st-2nd

2.East Brighton: lose Williamson but regain Rayson, Reid & pick up giant Smith. No premiership hangover here. Equal favourites. POSITION: 1st-2nd

3.Alberton aka East Malvern: big movers who are apparently opening the war chest. Major smokey for 2015
POSITION: 3rd-5th

4.St Paul's: lose MacIntyre & Lewis & maybe their FF but gain Gilder. Could possibly finish top 2 though. Always pull a couple mid year. POSITION: 3rd-4th

5.St Kilda City: Gamblin trying to get the band back together (Bruno & co) plus Purvis. If they get 2014 injured players back could make the 5. POSITION: 5th-6th

6.Cheltenham: unlucky to be this far down. Will definitely be in the mix for finals, but depends on the 2 smokies. Going to be a bottle neck for 5th
POSITION: 4th-6th

7.Chelsea Heights: where they finish depends on whether they hang onto Terech or not or gain another ruckman to give small brigade first use. POSITION: 7th-8th

8.Clayton: Scanlon will be the recruit of the off season but it won't be enough for them to make finals. Will need another 3 from Narre but it's a step in the right direction POSITION: 7th-9th

9. Bentleigh: Had a good first year in div 1, but need to recruit heavily in their second year so they don't get left behind POSITION: 7th-9th

10. Mordialloc: won a div 2 premiership last year. Whether the standard was high the jury is still out for mine. Depends on how many more St Bedes players they can get to send themselves up the ladder. Keep buying meals at the Sporting Club POSITION: 9th-10th

Agree, should make for a good season. No real battlers this year makes it a good comp. A month ago whispers suggested it could be a long year for Clayton and St Kilda City financially but recent posts suggest otherwise.

Picked up the giant Smith ?? , Please spare me , struggled to get a kick in the 2s

Smith will probably worth 60 goals and Steve Murphy will top up the loss of Williamson

Big Smithy wouldn't have played a game in the Magoos but if he were to play there at the Vampires he'd kick 160 goals

Anyone remotely familiar with the SFL knows that it would take about 3 years for the Vampires reserves to kick 160 goals, they dont exactly have an abundance of depth
