Now that's just plain stupid... it will prove what???

almost equal to Doveton hoping Mussa will kick more than 30 goals this year!

Where's bigwilly?
Your point big pussy? Danny and there coach are good mates and we have a function organised with them afterwards. We may get smacked we may not it's only a practice game. I am sure other teams are punching out of there depth as well.

When is the SFL on behalf of there clubs going into bat for there clubs in relation to accessing there ground for full time use ? Most clubs dont get there grounds until 1st April only 3 weeks from the first game ! This excuse from the SFL is " we dont control the grounds the council does" crap is getting behond a joke ! The reason being due to the lack of rain is also getting quite boring too! Even trying arrange a pracy game is extreamly difficult. The way I see it is the council due to insurance's between cricket clubs and footballers is driving this ! the mighty $$$ again as you cant tell me that in 2-3 weeks the ground conditions are going to change ! Why cant the SFL PUT SOME PRESSURE ON THESE COUNCILS to at least allocate maybe 2 grounds and have a preseason knockout comp or something so as we can arrange game's and training !

I don't know about your club or council, but i think most clubs would have a 6 month tenancy which will start on the 1st of April before that it is still the cricket clubs facilities, after that you should be able to use the ground for training and practise matches.

Your club should be in contact with the council and putting pressure on them, most clubs have practise matches scheduled so that means that some clubs have been communicating with thier council and have access to grounds

No 1 I'm well aware of 6 month tenacny's but all preavious years except last year clubs were able to have a pre-season training on there playing grounds this now no longer a option until April 1st some 2-3 weeks from first game IRRESCTIVE OF TENANCIES ,so were do you train ? so what's the point of your answer ? I can understand that during cricket season that cricket clubs dont want pracy games played thats fair enough ! My mate played at Dandy last year and they were only allowed to have 1 x 2 hr session a week or 2 x 1hr sessions no pracy games or could they use any of the multitude of grounds at there venue, the same has been applied for this season irrispective of tenancy you must apply to council for "permit" also which is also the point of my comments ! Skye train on that reserve on the corner I think its a junior ground ? Dovey been training at local school and as far as I know Dandy in there carpark BECAUSE OF COUNCIL POLICY !!

Totally agree if councils don't wont you to train on their grounds they need to provide an alternative instead of training in car parks or under power lines, hey we might take up baseball this winter.

Smuu, for the 'function' reason you mentioned then I will retract part of the comment and wish you all the best. Hopefully it's a good day and both clubs can benefit from it and perhaps make a bit of well needed coin.

If it was purely about the football, I would stand by my comment though.

It's one thing to be out of your depth to challenge yourself, but take off your concrete boots before doing so.

Alls I'm saying it that will give some fairly good insight though into the current progress of both clubs.

If the game is close and/or you guys salute the judges, then Canterbury must be instated as un-backable favorites for the flag.

My club has had to find grounds to train on school/soccer/beach in fact anywhere that there is grass as we haven't been allowed to train on our home ground until 1-3 weeks before the season starts that’s every year not just last year, my point was don't blame the SFL for councils policy, blame the council

Every club I have been involved with other than the last 2 years has been able to have preseason training on there playing ground or at least had there facilities (GROUND) earlier than present, I'm not blaming the SFL I'm only surrgesting that the SFL take up some responsability/assistance in getting clubs onto there grounds earlier as after all we all play for the SFL.

That corner Skye train on is nothing but an unused patch of ground.
As for using the ground, there is little or no reason Skye cannot use their home ground now, only that the council wants to keep everything on a level playing field with the other clubs within its municipality.

At the end of the day not worth getting too worked up about it, little we can do, unless you get yourself voted onto the council perhaps?????

Wow.

M lion where is your game at this week?

We have just had the council tell us that we cant have the ground this week so our game against Ivanhoe Assumption had to be called off (unless there is someone out there with an available ground)

If by any chance someone is chasing a praccy game due to cancelations etc, feel free to PM or post on here, as we have 2 sides prepared to play, just about anywhere.
Pretty sure Glenroy posted on the northern div2 thread looking for a game

go play baseball...think we give a sh it....
Come on guys, baseball's a great game. Have played in Summer and Winter comps for the last 4 or 5 years, and for my Uni. Footy's better though. :D

Skye V Fida reserves at Elsterwick this week Fida better and smarter game plan.To smart for Cowrey

Looks like Macca or Puff has The Cats password now, or you boys are at the club on the wire less internet at the club still. I never played in a losing side against Mordy, boys. Maybe we should play the Vultures instead.

Couldnt get a game this week boys unfortunately. Just training on Saturday. Might make it tough going into round 1 having played only 1 praccy game.

Hey madman, Skye got a practice match this weekend? Hows the big red machine and slllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmm travelling? No doubt the coach is flying!
Rowley to top goal kicking ( Mussa at least 60 behind him)
T Barr to win league b n f ( If his wonky knee stands up)
C Stephens coach of the year as well as premiership Coach.
Skye to win flag ( unsure who would play them as of yet)
More predictions after round 1
Madman let me know how rowla and slam are going? Gp don't bother posting your dribble. I want real info not the skye p.r machine.
