You have all lost the plot !!!

It is round 1 come back and let's all have a chat after everyone has played each other once.

Can say that Cantebury had several players out and will be more competitive upon their return.:thumbsu:
true but no excuse, we were beaten by a better side on the day

Who???? With over 50 to pick from in round 1 - unavailable is no excuse!!
I don't think it would have mattered who played - 2nd to the ball, no run, no accountability, no heart was the problem.
Mussa looked much better being the focal point in the square - shame you can't paint one each for him and Rama and then they can both sit in their own square for 4 qtrs..

Mr Cow, Can you enlighten us all on the great resurgence of the South Yarra Football Club!!!

How did the mercenaries perform at Dandy and was the money well paid as per your observations?

It looks like when you hire mercenaries to your club that you take a risk that money might be just that little more significant then the win !:D:D

Don't know about great resurgence mate, it's just one win. Like MadMan said, the kicking wasn't great after half time. THE SFL website also says Dandy went from 6.8 at three quarter time to 8.6 at the end, how'd they lose two behinds?

Good performance from our boys. Big Show is a massive unit. Looked good all day, knocked over Dube and injured Dube's shoulder. Charmers also looked like he will be a good player for Dandy this year. Our guys controlled the game though. We can still improve and Mount next week will be good to see where we're at. I know Dandy were confident, one of their twos blokes told me before the match that he thought Charmers would be League B&F. He didn't look that good for mine.

Mitch cserz is an absolute gun player, its a shame for the comp that he is going, would just about get a game anywhere. It will hurt the 3 headed dogs.
Interesting results this week, Doveton without Rama (I did tell you) Muzza what a freak.
Dandy????????
Mount / Certainties
South / Smokeys
EVEN COMP THIS YEAR.

Went and watched the Doveton boys on the weekend think I will keep going for the next 3-4 weeks as Canterbury who were tipped to be a grand finalist by people on this forum did not look that good....The Doveton boys looked alot slicker with there running then Canterbury although Dovey looked abit short across there forward line.Maybe Canterbury who were bigger body's and height thought this would be the way to go in selection thinking Rama may play? To say they had senior players out well who hasen't the record show's (75) quite a few on there list anyways.Better players Canterbury Carroll No8 wing, Mckenzie up forward & Baker Looked dagerous all day but with Hidgecock, Oniel, Moller and Muzza up forward Dovey just too strong. Biggest surprise loss Dandy probably should have lost by alot more 1.9 by Sth in the last if the SFL site is right ?? playing Canterbury next week testing times, well done Skye good win although I thought Cerb did well against Dovey thought it may be close,Mnt well done Cobras may be the early spooners FAVORITE.

Eagles deserved the win. Muzza did kick 7 although was lucky to get that many. The umpiring was at it's worst. It was the hard running mid fielders and half forwards that cut up the cobras who were not accountable in the 2nd half.

umpiring was at its normal div 3 standard!!
Canterbury kicked 4 goals from 50m penalties, including one 100m penalty, most of them a little dicey i thought, so umpiring did go both ways.

Whats going on at Dandy, looking on the sfl website on the team sheets, Duggan & Reidy in the 1's???? Couldnt see Chalmers name there???
Brad Rae in the 2's??

Appears Yippa you need to stop worrying how Skye is going and concentrate on your amateur(ish) team. Fat heads after round 1. Smashed round 2. And stop posting drunk on a saturday night.

Appears bigwilly needs to stop worrying about Yippa and start worrying about his own YIPs in front of goal.

Fat heads.... that's a large yonny!

Charman definitely played. Wore number 11. It was a jumper with no number with tape used to make it an eleven. Big Show wore 50 instead of 9 as listed. Apparently Dandy is waiting on a new set of jumpers. Duggan played ones also, not sure which one Reidy is to be honest. One guy in their twos said they had 8 unavailable. Looks like Visal (Aaron Davey lookalike) in the ones strained a hammy. Also, if any Dandy players are out there, how'd the injury room from the twos end up? I heard you may have had two broken arms, and can you confirm whether that blonde number 1 broke his? Very hardcore if he did do a compound fracture in the second, just to tape it up and keep playing. When I asked him about it I said "Don't you have a bench?" and he said "Yeah, but they're not going hard enough." For us Mathieu Dube injured a shoulder after getting collected by Big Show, not sure how bad, and Hamish McGee came off looking very sore as well.

A source tells me Vella did not play sat ? was in there best hows that ? probably wont play his year as has alot of work commitments, Geddes also unavailable away and another key backman Jarmen did not play also work commitments also may not play this year ? The rest were 2's players missing so it seems not that many 1's players missing. Also my source tell me mick did not get cleared due to the comittee wished to discuss his clearance after being assurred it was going ahead before sat, mick also ensured had Brown got cleared from Dovey, mick apparently was PISSED right off and feels Dandy are F*&^ing him around after all the work he had done over 3 years at Dandy. Seems there is some friction there.

Sounds to me like they have done a bit of a "bodgy" and perhaps played some unregistered players under names of registered players who were not in fact playing

Hey Frankencow congrats on both wins mate, looks like you guys have improved significantly. Kanton broke both his ulna and radius above his wrist went to hospital in Ambulance in is in bad shape already had one round of surgery and goes under the knife again tomorrow, so hopefull for a full recovery.

Vella did play on the weekend. You are probably confused a little as Kris Vella played. Adrian was out injured with a groin strain.

As for Mick Hawken, can't really tell why committee wouldn't have done his clearance. News to me.

Hey Cow,
Terry Sollier broke both bones in his forearm.:thumbsdown:
As for #1 (Justin Fleming co-captain) not 100% sure on his outcome yet, but by the way he was that afternoon, the swelling had come down. Could have been a badly jarred arm or corkie. But he is tuff as nails when it comes to this sort of thing and if it was broken, he wouldn't let you know anyway. Tuff unit that doesn't give up easily.

What happened to you blokes Jooce? Just a slip up or are Sth a good unit. Might take a couple of weeks to gel with all the new players.
Sounds like some ordinary injuries to blokes on the weekend, not a good start. I also heard Kreskas broke his arm in his first game back at Hampton.

GP, South Yarra are a very good side very quick and very fit, they were too good for us on the day. The new recruits performed very well Big Show, Kemp, Charmers. Look forwrd to this week with a few Senior players comming back to bolster the side. Good win from you guys GP how did you go?

Unfortunately Robbie Kreskas dislocated his Elbow which has done a lot of damage to ligaments and an arterie .Has had 1 operation and will require another soon with some grafting required. Was playing very well until injured and for someone who broke his leg in June last year it was a great effort to be playing so soon and now this which may be the end of his football career.Still in hospital until probably Thursday.

Anything in the tribunal appearances from the weekend blac or Smuu?
didn't really see the incident but he flattened poor young luke connaughton, he took awhile to get up. Going to keep a mussa 50m count on this forum too he gave away 4 on the weekend including a 100m!! how many against cerberus boys?:D
