Instead of bitching about no Billings...Welcome back Paddy!!!!
glad acres keeps his spot hope he rips its up
They don't owe us any answers on this front, but i'd love to know the selection committees' thought process behind this.Very surprised one of Sinclair, Lonie or Billings didn't come in.
Can't wait to see Gears give Motlop an absolute bath
Anyone seriously entertaining the thought of Wright tagging Dangerfield needs to think a bit harder about it.
A very defeatist attitude imo.
And who would you have down back?
Can't wait to see Gears give Motlop an absolute bath
I dunno because I haven't seen much of Sandy this year. I would maybe play Bruce back, but then I would have kept Pierce in and played him fwd/ruck with Roo on the wing. Wright shouldn't play. Just shit selection most weeks with the much loved, undersized and elderly backline. For 3 years now. Selection is just stuffed.
You underestimate the intelligence of some supporters. It would be stuffed if they listened to some supporters.
If we are to win the game or even run close we'll need to win the ball from the centre. What's wrong with playing a tagger, especially tagging one of the most, if not the most, in-form midfielders in the competition?
Billings not named in VFL team so must be on an extended bye. Same with CurrenVery surprised one of Sinclair, Lonie or Billings didn't come in.
Geeze our tall defenders have been cursed in the past few weeks. Amazing Delaney has gone from just playing out his career in the 2nds to our number 1 tall within a matter of a couple of weeks. It goes without saying that we're gonna have to win the midfield battle well to have any chance in this.
And I'm the second. And I'm with you. No problems with selection this week. Billings, Sinclair, Lonie all need a serious bash on their sense of entitlement. They've been given a remarkably easy ride into their AFL careers - far easier than others I could name on our list. Wright did his job last week, and did it flipping well.I'm the first person to have a go at the selection committee. But I actually don't mind this one bit. I for one was not expecting us to beat the blues last game and was pleasantly surprised by the effort shown by all. Yes Wright didn't get much of it, but ran hard chased tackled like a maniac all game.
We all ask for effort every week and some of the players have not be bringing that in Billings, Sinclair, Lonie etc. Having them play only 1 game and then be like yep they have learnt there lesson doesn't cut it. Give them 2 or 3 weeks on shitty grounds with gale winds instead of a closed roof and infront of family and friends.
Can finally say that I agree with the match committee this week.
Go on, name Curran. I know you want to.And I'm the second. And I'm with you. No problems with selection this week. Billings, Sinclair, Lonie all need a serious bash on their sense of entitlement. Wouldn't quite say that Sinclair has been given an easy ride into his afl career. And I'm the second. And I'm with you. No problems with selection this week. I reckon we have to throw Bruce back this week. Have been against this, but we are literally out of options. Gilbert is not a KPD, we have been down this road many times before.
Bruce back still leaves us with a forward line mix of Roo, Paddy & an in form Membrey. Looks pretty good to me.
I like Curren too but clear as day he isn't a patch on those three. And I'm the second. And I'm with you. No problems with selection this week.
