It doesn't matter if those teams are ahead of us now because our team is young enough for our window to stay open for quite awhile. Our core group of young to mid aged players is very strong.

Freo/Sydney/Hawthorn have considerably more developed teams. The Bombers really only have around five players in their best 22 with 100+ games experience - Watson, Goddard, Ryder, Stanton. I would argue that Fletcher isn't best 22 anymore and is passed his best. Winderlich would be IF fit, but that hasn't been the case the past three seasons.
That is not enough experience to win a flag. The grand finalists this year both had around thirteen players with 100+ games experience. Huge difference.

How are the Roos and Tigers ahead of us btw?

North Melbourne should have won a lot more games then they did, they will only be stronger over this off season and I expect them to push for the top 4 next year. Richmond will be about the same, Essendon is in disarray whether you like it or not so I won't be surprised if its a struggle next year, that's without knowing what will happen with asada. My brother is a Dons fan, and he's not liking what's happening either

Whilst in 99% of the time the p0layer probably decides he just wasn't to show up. But does anyone ever consider that maybe the club told him he wasn't welcome. Or gave him grief over turning his back on them, making him feel uncomfortable and unwelcome? If so, then good on him for not showing up.
Good point. Remember how so many posters here were horrified that we should allow Ward to attend our B&F when he had announced he was going to GWS?

Either way, it looks better for us and Crameri than for Essendon.

Crameri 17th in our B&F, make of that what you will.

Typical response from an Essendon supporter. Hope it makes your delirious board realise what he is worth in a trade then.

The thing that shitted me about Bomber making an example of lake, he was basically saying players who are in a team that is not going to win a premiership should jump ship to a team who will and that also justifies Goddard leaving last year. So what does that mean for loyalty, and how do you repeat that to the bomber guns when you are you down the bottom in 5 years time to keep them at the club. Not a good example to set and i hope it comes back to haunt him.

Essendon can talk about playing to win premierships because they're on the verge of greatness, imagine if they hadn't one a final for nearly a decade
Someone thought there was sarcasm in this post I thought it was more ironic,
Here's the truth about Stew crameri bulldog fans,

He's going to accept your huge offer which is definitely overs,
Hopefully we get at least pick 22 in return, plus an upgrade of later picks, he's no Jordan mcMahon..
He's a fantastic athlete with great hands,
He can kick the ball 55 metres plus,
He's great on the lead and runs all day,
He does not take pack marks and is not a KPF in the true sense of the word, he is actually similar but better than the 2 guys you have playing that lead up role,(grant and jones)
He is a seriously ordinary kick at goal from a set shot, get ready to see him kick 2.5 regularly..
He would not walk to the PSD, I can assure you of that, so your thoughts of shafting us will have to wait till later...
He won't be playing finals next year.....enjoy your high priced 3rd forward...good luck,

Oh, he has had more than his share of lower leg soft tissue injuries, hope he stays fit earning that $$$$$$$.

Someone thought there was sarcasm in this post I thought it was more ironic, How so? Is it incorrect?

Not when you consider what Betts is getting.

No upgrade just pick 22 and you'll be lucky to get it.
He's a fantastic athlete with great hands,
Good.
He can kick the ball 55 metres plus,
Also good.
He's great on the lead and runs all day,
Just what we need.

I don't even know where to start with this, you realize you started this sentence with "does not take a pack mark and is not a true KPF" and then compared him to Jones who is 196cm and is top 5 in the league for contested marks. As to your point we don't need him to be a genuine KPF just a roaming tough goalkicker.
He is a seriously ordinary kick at goal from a set shot, get ready to see him kick 2.5 regularly..
He'll fit in perfectly then:(

Maybe, maybe not.
He won't be playing finals next year.....enjoy your high priced 3rd forward...good luck,
He certainly won't if Bomber changes his mind, in one of his visits. Meh too much is being made of the money we've got plenty of room in the cap and it has to go somewhere.
Oh, he has had more than his share of lower leg soft tissue injuries, hope he stays fit earning that $$$$$$$.
A little time away from an experimental drug program should do wonders for those soft tissue injuries.

Answers in bold. Also with your baiting I feel this will be the kindest response you may receive, so enjoy it while it lasts.

If he is such a shite player, and you don't care, why are you over on our board reading our posts about it....

Crameri clearly has his flaws, as every player in the league does. But he is a goal-kicker, a big body (for his position) and an above average afl footballer. We've paid overs for him, but he will make us better, and losing him makes essendon worse. Essendon need to deal, so a trade will get done. That's kinda the Crameri thing in a nutshell.

On that basis, surely you wouldn't give him up for less than pick #4 and Griffen? :p........

I am not saying that I agree with Essendon or anything. As I think they are just bitter supporters about losing there players. No class from Essendon.
However I do find it interesting that he was ranked 17th at their best and fairest. Same as Addison. He isn't rated by the club that high but they don't want to lose him. He won their goal kicking award but ranked 17th in their best and fairest. is their really 16 other players that played better than him this year from Essendon?
Bit bizarre really.
Not that I can. He will make our top 10 atleast next year and I reckon he will lead our goal kicking or atleast top 3.
Really happy about the Crameri aquisistion. I don't think bombers supporters and coaches realise that what they are doing is actually assuring Crameri he made the right decision to leave.

Bro, Stevie J finished 13th in the cats B&F. If I had to pick a 22 to play a game for my life he'd be one of the first 10 blokes id pick.

I had 15 blokes ahead of him on his form this year. Crameri was much better in 2011 and 2012 when he had less weight on him and wasn't played as a KP the whole year.
