Qtr 4 (half way break)

Reeves

C Mac Worpel Titch Mids

Morro and Ward wings for brown

Vs.

Lynch

Long Finn and Shiels Mids

Phillips and #31 (not C Mac must be VFL) for gold

Newcomb can play footy. No two ways about it. Runs hard, plays hard and kicks well. Continues to break out of the middle and spreads super well.

Morrison has put together a nice game, clean overall and done well wherever he has been placed today (wing and half back) good goal from about 48m on the run.

Ward is a lock to play early and keep his spot. I think emergence of young guys like Ward, Mac and Newcomb this pushes Shiels out of the side. Again you guys would prob know more than me on that, but from what I’ve seen Newcomb can provide that grunt work.

Joocy probable midfield

Mitch, Worp, Newc, Cmac, JOM, Wardy.
Hoping with the addition of these guys, it will add a lot of depth to our midfield group for the years ahead. Great to hear that Lewis and Moore are doing well and go Gunners! With a quality backline, fingers crossed our list is improving and that we are now competitive in all parts of the ground 🤞! Thanks for the reports guys 🙏.

Second half of 4th quarter and end of match:

Mitch Lewis took a mark about 50 out left hand side pushed against boundary, comes out and snaps it straight through. Anthony Rocca AFL Live 2004 spec.

Reeves and Big Boy seems to be the best partnering. In a way Lynch plays too similar to Big Boy, for the make up of the squad one tap ruck and one that can do bits around the ground seems the better pairing.

Look, gold’s defence has been atrocious but you play against who you’re playing. Moore and Lewis have absolutely feasted. Both kicking another goal

Phillips disposal puts him on the outer. No doubt about it. With so many others who are champing for that spot. A massive gas tank gets you only so far. I haven’t seen him hit a single target.

Elite play saw Mitchell get the tap, fizz it to Sic on the left hand wing release the perfect handball to Bramble who borks and goals from 40 odd. The boys all loved it.

C Mac and Ward are pretty on par for mine. Ward slightly edging. Shades of Campbell and Gulden from the Swans. Blood them both. Both teenagers but mix it with men seamlessly. Good decision makers and cool heads.

Overall, it was awesome watching some live footy again.

I have Moore as my best today, followed by Newcomb and Mitch Lewis.

Lewis was so much larger than his opponent though, but you play who you play. I don’t think I saw Kozi go near it at all today. Lewis feasted.

C Mac and Ward are class acts and I’m keen to see them debut very early.

Thank you for having me gents. I wish I lived closer to Punt Rd 😉

From an untrained eye, looks like Ward, Newk, Harry are making strong cases for best 22. Connor Mac and Finn not far behind. Long is a good get for a rookie pick.

Injury forbidding, im also expecting a breakthrough season from Lewis (did he kick 7 today?) and another excellent season from Moorey.

Good work Kambo. I was sure I heard someone say that the game was done and all the players were shaking hands, so I bailed ....turns out it was only haltime. 🙃

One of Lewis's early goals was after he out-bodied Hartigan in an isolated one on one contest, 30m out. It was great to see him just push Hartigan to the side and put those big mits up.
That's the sort of thing we want to see more of this year.

I think I speak for all of us in saying that when the Tigers finally hit the rebuild Kambo has earned an honorary spot on the Hawthorn bandwagon. We've had a fair few oppo supporters share info but I really love getting a game or training report from someone that isn't attached to any of the players. Really appreciated this and I'm sure if any of us could return the favour we would.
