Do North supporters like or dislike, I get the feeling we can turn it into a moneyspinner like we did with FNF,
Last nights crowd was 80% North supporters or so it seemed if we played say Richmond or the Doggies, - because Collingwood and Essendon won't play this timeslot until its a proven winner financially - I'm sure a crowd of 35k + would have been achievable.
For me Sunday twilight gets a :thumbsu:

there ok, id rather friday or saturday nights, but where not good enough for the AFL to play those, we did start Friday Nights

I'm in the "hate them" category. Its too hard for peple with kids who have to go to school the next day, especially in outer suburbs, and it assures no FTA coverage which is so important to sponsorship dollars.

The one time slot I think we should pursue, and its only a couple of times a year, is Sunday night on long weekends. Not twilight, night, with FTA coverage.
We won't get Good Friday no matter how long we try for it; so we should demand Easter Sunday night against one of the big clubs at the MCG, and put in for Queens Birthday long weekend at Docklands as well.

What about the occaisional Saturday twilight? We get them interstate, why not here. We can follow it up with a members forum or post match function afterwards.

Don't like the twilight games.
Can't bring my young kids along, and that's a tradition I want to continue.
They love saturday nights but we don't get many of those

I hate them. I have four kids under 10 and my wife works night shift on a sunday night.I haven't been to one nor will I ever go to one.
I can barely watch snippets on Fox. To me ,its a sucker's fixture. Something we've been lumbered with because AFL don't care about the size of our crowds. Let's see if the Bombers or the Pies ever have to endure one.
My bet is it will go the same way Monday night games did. Short and not so sweet.
If we ever did build it into popular franchise, it would vanish from our plate just like the Friday night fixture(one game in 2007:what a disgrace!)
The broadcasters would just order the AFL to hand it over to the power clubs.

It's shit. No thanks.

Games finish too late.

By the time you get home it's 9 o clock...and you still have to make dinner...and then get some shut eye for work tomorrow.

Pain in the arse.

Get rid of it

Hate them. Forget it and get rid of them.

I'm unable to go but i do feel sympathy for the mums and dads who have to take their junior roos along when it's past their usual Sunday night bedtime before the game even finishes, let alone get home whether they are driving or catching public transport. I spoke to a friend of mine on her way home from the footy last night - she going to Ringwood way- not happy about getting home not so late but for a sunday, it's late.

Besides, It's bloody hard trying to watch footy and keep an eye on a Sunday night roast.:D

Saturday twilight could be OK, if the after match function drew some people along. Otherwise I don't see the point, other than purely to experiment (which there's nothing wrong with).
But twilight Sunday just causes too much hassle for too many people with kids.

When they are on school holidays or long weekends, they are a gr8 time slot for the club.

But doing the working week they are a bad time slot and it showed last night with an 80-20 split.

as a yr 12 student, i hate it!!!!!!!!!! went to richmond one. was thinking i will be back by 9 ish, wrong. had to get a cab cuz bus service finished 7. had a bad night een though we won. bring ack friday nights and saturday nights like the syd game that was great.

Twilights suck and can never be made into a decent money spinner.

Corporate no go zone. Smaller TV audiences in this time slot also devalues the value of sponsorship and branding.

If we must have twilight games, play 'em at Carrara.

Hate them. i said at the start of the year i would attend some games in Melbourne this year. Unfortunately due to the number of Sunday games (particularly twilight) will probably not eventuate. Great if you live in Melbourne, useless if you live interstate and want to support your club. Due to poor TV coverage i will probably have to watch the live worm for the rest of the season
