Couldnt be bothered reading the whole article (or thread)...

What is the Eagles home ground free kick advantage per game?
And how does that to Vic sides against interstate visitors?

Cant imagine the difference is all that great. Home ground crowds will sometimes influence the umpires on line ball decisions. The Eagles get more home ground crowds than Vic teams, but they also play more away games where they are on the rough end of the pineapple.

Eagles leading the league in the FF/FA ratio after 8 rounds with a staggering 155 / 112 advantage.

Well you don't get free's against you when you have possession of the ball and are getting to it first.

I'm sure Joel will even up the head high tackle differential with Shuey this game though.;)

How many free's does Naitanui get from opponents blocking to early?

Sounds like you are making excuses early!!!

An article from 2012 holds relevance today? Nope.

So what conspiracy are we shooting for in 2015? We get too many frees? We get too many frees at home? We don't give away enough frees? We don't give away enough frees at home? WA umpires favour us?

All I know is the league average for frees for is 18.5. We've received 18.9 (7th).

The league average for frees against is (funnily enough) 18.5. We've conceded 14 (18th).

We also lead the league in frequent flyer points as well, do you want to whinge about how you don't have to fly across the country every other week?

Not all things in this comp are equal unfortunately. Don't worry, the MRP have got rid of one of our best performing players this year for you on a trumped up charge. You will be ok!:thumbsu::rainbow:

The home advantage in refereeing decisions was decisively proven in soccer years ago and does not need to be disputed. The variation for Aussie rules is that the Victorian clubs don't actually get much of this at the MCG, so it comes out as favoring the interstate clubs. Perhaps it partially balances their extra travel, but fans can't include that in their response to unfair umpiring decisions. That's too visceral.
The other matter of free kick cheating needs urgent remedy from the AFL.

Explain yourself mate. WCE have given away the fewest free kicks on average and got the average free kicks for. What is your point?

West Coast have spent the better part of three years getting belted every other week and you bring this thread up before the game on the weekend? Funnily enough this thread has been dead for over two seasons.

A simple search shows nothing out of the ordinary other than WCE have been diligent in not giving away free kicks.

10/10 would get trolled again.

The point is WCE still get favoured by the umps and have received 60% of all frees paid in 2015 when playing at home.

No other teams enjoy such a discrepancy.
