After the grand final in 1990 I made effort to walk down Smith Street Collingwood wearing an Essendon jumper shaking hands with Collingood supporters saying well done. You're pronounced lack of understanding of each club as it is has got Sydney supporters off side. Learn the AFL.

And I'm kinda sorry I started this thread. I think that the Swannies are improving game by game and was curious to know if others thought we could go round at least once again.

And I've had some really good talks to Weagles friends recently and I know both teams really respect each other.

I have been nothing but complimentary of the Swans. Have not once had a whine about Barry Hall or whatever else a select minority Eagles fans are crying about.

Was like that at the game too. Lot's of hand shaking, congratulating and empathy going on. Both teams' supporters knew it could have gone either way. None of the usual mouthing off that I see at most matches. And for the most part it's been duplicated on BF.

Wheres the respect? Even now people still dont see us as a threat or a decent side! What do we have to do to make those in Victoria and Weagles fans believe that we are a quality side deserving of respect and one to be feared! We won a premiership when everyone thought it was definately out of our reach, and what the hell is this rubbish about St Kilda? We beat them at the MCG! Yes they have a great list and probably will come good next year but that doesnt mean we cant beat them still!

For much of this thread I've felt as if I've touched down on a parallel universe. Cheers Eagles supporters - I watched the game again last night and while there were errors throughout by both sides I thought it was from intense pressure not lack of skills. Great game. Any team that doesn't fear facing either Grand Final team next year needs their heads read.

Woosha is in the same frame of mind as you and I feel for you. The mind set of a drawn grand final. Didn't real lose it. It's where you're at with your 'everything went right for Sydney line'. If a smidgin of this attitude crosses the bows of a swans supporter, you could cop flak back. That club forced themselves to win a flag. Not last month. But over decades. That's all.
