and i think the gloating is part of the footy culture. If west coast win you wouldnt be happy and confident and having the odd bit of gloating?

All this started with my post like number 48 or something in this thread saying here here, which i was saying in relation to the constant crap said about the swans and bandwagoners and afl help to win a flag etc etc.
It was not directed at you then you quoted it and said something and it got going from there

At least swansrule has had the balls to go back and have a read and realise that this thread shouldn't have gotten out of hand. You should just be quiet and learn a lesson in humility.

I agree that the whole TP/ Unit/ FU thing has been shocking for us as fans. There must be over 100 regular Eagles fans on this board and we are all hated becuase of these blokes. Some people don't kown when to STFU.

I actually wasn't talking about this thread specifically, but as premiers you certainly have always had the right to rub it in with everyone you know, and Big Footy should be no exception for that.

Having said that, BB has certainly been even handed in this thread (even a bit complimentary) . I read back through and a few of you Swans blokes just need to enjoy your premiership and stop being so defensive....

i think in all honesty ive gotten caught up in the posts u and nicky had and misinterpreted and then been a twit and weve just ended up going back and forth and it got out of hand. I enjoy discussing footy with all supporters

we should all just move on and accept this has gotten silly dont need to worry and just enjoy the game.

personally i am not even worried bout back to back yet, realistically for any premier its not a strong chance, history shows this.

I think the swans trading has shown they believe they have a stab again, and they are a contender, like any team need a lot to go right. Eagles know this having seen braun and co go down.

Realistically not many teams stand in the swans way outside of west coast stkilda geelong and the crows

maybe power brissie or even the dockers

so its a good opportunity. I worry that breaking a 72 year hodoo will affect the swans motivation. They used the bloods theme heavily remember!

for what its worth i think eagles fans i know have been very good about the granny. They were respectful to their own team which is loyal and appreciative of the swans efforts. I have a lot of respect for the fans that i didnt have before! Every club has some wierdos!

Sydney still have a lot of improving to do. They havent peaked as players or as a group. It is a huge challenge though to be up and ready to go in Round 1 after playing in the GF. Thats a months extra football compared to half the competition, plus you can right off another few weeks for deserved celebration. A month can be crucial for injury rehab, and considering the amount of injured Swans that played throughout the finals this may also be a telling factor. Whether they can put success aside and take the next step remains to be seen..

Only 1 of the 4 2004 prelim finalists made the PF this year. I expect the same will most likely happen in 2006, possibly 2 of the 4. Geelong and Port Adelaide are defineately right in the mix. With the genius of Eade at the helm the Bulldogs will also be thereabouts.

Most of the team are now in Hawaii and seeing the state they have been in since Sept 24 they may need an extra month for alcohol rehab. As Roosy said "It's hard to tell the Premiership celebrations from the Jason Ball farewell tour".

With respect of your argument with Sydney supporters, you need to state the little thing that went wrong for West Coast. (you have inferred Sydney won the flag because everything went right for them this year and extapolated it to back to back is unlikely.) Injuries don't cut the mustard. They rose above them, rather like Brisbane in 2003. It was Banfield hitting the post for mine but you may have another view.
