2nds Swans Reserves 2016

Great review as always Grim. How did Lloyd Perris play? Sounds like he has made a fairly quick recovery from his knee.
I'm pretty sure he didn't play but could have missed him as I was concentrating on the Swans players.

Interesting reading about Papley. I'm not one to froth over young players too much but he does look AFL ready from what I have seen of him in the NAB challenge, and he is what we need, so get him in there I say.

Tyrone LEONARDIS - Tried hard in the first half but just failed to get away from a tackle when he looked ready to break clear into space. Had no such issues in the second half and provided exciting runs off halfback and the wing, but most importantly used the ball well at the end of his runs. The highlight was a 4 bounce run from the wing to the top of the fifty before hitting Galloway on the chest. With the recruitment of Mills, Leonardis and Dawson in the last draft and the decision to pass on Dunkley, the Swans have put the focus on recruiting players with good disposals skills. BTW I was sitting near some Swans players and they referred to Leonardis by his nickname "Sexy".
I am so happy that our bigfooty discovery of that name has paid off

It's regarded affectionately as the "jewel in the crown of rugby league" but the iconic Henson Park could become a base for the Sydney Swans as part of a joint initiative by the club and AFL NSW to find an "elite second-tier" facility in the city's east.

As the Swans prepare to play their 350th game on the SCG, it has emerged the club is searching Sydney for a venue that can be redeveloped to stage matches for their reserves side in the NEAFL competition and also be a home for their Academy and a possible women's team. It could also be used for preseason training, though the club's preferred position is to keep its training and administration base within the Moore Park precinct.

I know it is only a practice game, but I'm still stunned by this result. The GWS reserves spanked us easily last year

They spanked us easily just two weeks ago. I think they were slightly weaker today but take nothing away from a great performance

Tyrone's sexiness continues to grow each week. I'd back him to get a game this season particularly if we continue to struggle to move the ball out of defence.

Havent seen a lot of Sexy, but from what I have he seems to have great agility and acceleration - as well as a licence to take the game on. If his footskills are as good as suggested we might have found one.
