Might depend on the wording whether it says suspended for five weeks or five matches. Should be weeks in season but say in the AFL you get suspended before the bye I imagine it would be based on matches not weeks.

Personally I think he would still have 5 to go as he is a VFL player but say this was a AFL listed swans player and of cause they played last Saturday would that player only have 4 to go.

Great news! Any fit ruckman on our list is a luxury.
A lot of talk about whether he's AFL standard. I don't know if he's a quality ruckman or not as I haven't seen enough of him and he hasn't really had a decent chance to develop into one. What I do know is that you only need to look around the competition to see there are plenty of rucks who may not be classified as "quality", but ruckmen are a valuable commodity, and they're on an AFL list. That makes Sam AFL standard at least.
Good luck to him, he deserves the best after a rotten run with injuries and the passing of his sister last year.
