Is Anderson the one who lived up the coast? Hasn't really been able to attend full academy until now. Think he's got some potential for us.

Rowbottom is an interesting one - I’d assumed he was injured (60% ToG suggested as much), but perhaps he genuinely just needed a spell in the twos?

McD, Stephens are just outstanding.

He obviously was, you don't get TOG like that if you're fit. Shouldn't be in the reserves.

They probably want to get more run in his legs. His time on ground limitations in seniors (and therefore assuming managed training loads) have probably effected his endurance.

Having a team of genuine VFL players certainly helps.

Other than Logan and Stephens looking exciting, this has been the first genuinely good play I've seen out of McAndrew. A few marks and some really slick hands out of congestion to find loose team-mates. Good to see.

As a young one in 50's and 60's, my family went to every Footscray game (as we took a neighbour's boy who barracked for them) - I do not recognise the Whitten oval at all. My old brain cells are decaying.
The oval looks in great condition.
