Pushed him in the back

If you are going to spend your time having a crack at his speed against a known fast player at least be accurate in your detail or else it just weakens your argument.

Like I said it would be a tough call to have called in the back but there is a firm hand in the middle of his back that pushes him. Check it out. I know it doesn't mean anything to you as you've made up your mind but ...you know what nevermind.
Yep, push in the back.

I wonder where Cornes draws the line? What is a " little touch" ? Is it two, or , three fingertips? Maybe it is more? Perhaps it has to bounce off the palm of the hands? Of course we know how many goals have been denied the swans because of a " little touch". I wonder whether it applies to his team? Or is it just the Swans where he doesn't mind a "little touch"?

Spoken like a true cheat!

It was such a strange comment from Cornes, stupid actually. What's the point of reviews, what's the point of players throwing their bodies around trying to get a touch on a ball, or jumping high to get a touch or running towards the goal line in the aim of stopping a goal if in the end it doesn't matter whether there was a "little touch". This desperation is a part of the game. He is an idiot.

I've finally calmed down enough to post. WE just started that game looking utterly flat, and i thought to myself within two minutes that we were gonna lose that game. Jack was terrible, missed almost every target he tried, he was under 50% DE and most of his possesions were not contested. Heeney is the worst set shot in the team. Parker is a bloody good footballer but 17 possesions wasn't enough from him. His goals were important. Jones continues to be one of our best. I'm genuinely surprised that Cameron still isn't playing. Get him in even if just for structure up forward.

Flat Note had a good one and looks solid. Papley look like he isn't a midfielder and isn't a forward. Let him just do one thing. Florent having strong last quarters is a pretty good sign, but he needs to be a bigger contributor throughout the whole match.

I won't mention the umpires.
“Flat Note”?

If McVeighs touched call is changed as it should. we win. That simple. Unfortunately nothing will be said
Let's be realistic here....if your aunty had whiskers she would be your uncle...in other words, the ball would have gone back to the goal square for a kick out and from then on everything that is played out from that scenario is totally different from what happened when the ball was bounced in the middle again.

On a whole other note, after the game we were walking back to Central across the Moore Park parking area. As usual there were thousands of cars queuing to leave. No-one anywhere was moving an inch, but everyone had their engines running. The fumes were out of this world.

FFS folks, if you’re not moving, and if you haven’t moved lately, and you’re clearly not moving any time soon, turn your bloody engine off.

Spot on here with a few points you have made. Jack missed targets/goals on three occasions which were so costly. Heeney has been most noticeable with his errors from field kicks and again, both this week and last week against Geelong, he wasted set shots on goal. Both players have been and still are great servants, however, time on skills just has to be put in to correct the problems.
My big concern was the inability of the team to handle uncontested positions, long been our achilles heel as Hawthorn have shown over the last five years whenwe oppose them. The kangaroos were far superior in seeking out and finding unmarked support all night long and there field kicking was quite outstanding, or maybe just better than we are at that caper.
Let's also look at the selection table, one taller target up front and a WHOLE lot of crumbs. So what is our aim when we go inside 50. Surely dummy leads all over the forward line..... read Hawthorn here again. Roughead our Gunston on the quick lead. Both tall but the target is sort out by waiting for the full on lead which is provided by the ball on the chest. Makes we wonder, do we destroy all the Hawthorn videos because they upset us so much. I do not replay them because I can tell you what is going to happen in this situation.Like most Swans supporters the nightmare is replayed twice a year for the last five years and we still not see a coaching panel have any idea how to handle it. Clarkson apparently says when the Hawks go out to play the Swans " just do what we always do against this mob'. Been a sure fire way to get 4 points, for as I said, the last five years.
So back to Saturday night. How many times did the Swans have the ball in the last quarter, indeed the last half, on or around the centre flank area. Bear in mind
Scott bit the bullet and had Brown down back but backed Woods to do his bit in the forward line and how he delivered. Meanwhile our well coached bunch look up into the never never and see four big sticks and let fly. Brown down there waiting with his vice like hands and out little guys left wondering when the ball is going to hit the ground for a loose ball get.
So when Buddy returns we say there are no targets in the forward line except big tall Buddy so lets fly again to him. Do not worry about the three opponents he will have, as happened against Adelaide and more frustratingly against Geelong in the final last year. Fair dinkum, commentators have video three seconds after something happens, however, the Swans staff must be asleep during the re runs through the week. How can they not see the continual errors that the players make or is there no-one in the coaches room that can forsee the way coached make dummies out of them week after week.
I note today that half time Fremantle lead on most stats at half time, BUT, the big one stood out like the harbour bridge....Freo were getting smashed in the tackle counts and quite obviously could not handle the heat. Sitting watching at home 300 miles from Melbourne, Hardwick has a tackle at all costs instruction but more importantly it stands out again like the harbour bridge, once the ball is in hand and it does not matter if you are on the last line in defence, once you kick you must have one objective and that is to get to the kick receiver as a full on support. Wave after wave of attacking players never leave the Richmond player in
possession in a situation where he has to work alone. Houli can run three possessions from the back half and still, be in support 80 yards on from his first kick.
So Richmond are quick, little men everywhere. We had the same on Saturday night and never did we see a player in defence run through lines in support to break up opposition lines. Our plan like all the ordinary teams. Take the mark, walk back slowly to take your kick, make sure their defence is fully stationed and let fly and certainly ensure that a 2 metre forward only has jump up....because we are very helpful and kick it straight to him.
No big purchase this year for a million dollar champion......spend some time talking Paul Roos back or eat humble pie...."oh this hurts to say out loud" go and get CLARKSON. Let's face it, he has coached us on and off for the last five years!

My fam and I sit in Bay 11 so we bolt at siren and get out straight away from car park.

What's to say you didn't make that up ? Maybe he should ******* put a hurricane up their arse then because they are ******* trash at the moment and regardless of what you or anyone else thinks the buck stops with him. Too many excuses made since GF Day 2014 and the day Colless took his pension ******* mediocrity put its foot in the ******* door.
Yeah Cindy, it was a quote from a recent interview in sydneyswans.com.au. Maybe they made it up.

Sorry Pal but Google couldn't translate it from the original Ukrainian. It came out gibberish.

Why don't you stop slagging our team and coach off to fans of other clubs. Sick of dicks running down our mob.

I see your location is Sussex. I thought "Rebecca from Sunnybrook Farm" was based elsewhere.

We are behind in the game with 2 mins left Heeney playing loose man in defence just doesnt make much sense.

He is a attacking weapon he should never be in defence.

What’s the point? He’ll just shank his shot for goal :(

North were very poor on the night, we were just worse.

Agree. Awful game of footy all round and one I'm almost glad we didn't win.

We can just send swansfan51 down back when things start going wrong (or well) for that matter.

Interesting that this game is being seen as "flag contenders beaten by rebuilding side". Not a whole lot of difference in the experience of the 22 from the below:
View attachment 493128

One big difference

Free kicks 23-16 AGAINST the hometeam at the SCG plus numerous non-decisions and the goal non-review. Lose by 2 points.

Game against Bulldogs a few weeks back - 16-5 frees against us in the second half alone.

Melbourne 1 v Interstate 0.
Again.

Mass self-harm attempt after another SCG implosion?

I gave up watching after Jack's second butchered shot at goal. If I'd watched to the end I might've left the engine running myself.
