HighER score. When it’s a contest between two, the comparative rather than the superlative is the better choice of adjective.

When it’s a contest between two, is there ever a case where the higher score, is not also the highest?
Should it not be spelt with a lower case er as in "higher" rather than "HighER"?

There is this other thing called 'reading comprehension'.
I finks he meanzeZ (in Tassie lingo) he has no fecking clue or guess as to who will win this match. But guesses one or the other will.

Cheers:):p (jus bored)

Go the Swannies!

I would say if we are going to argue over the use of comparatives or superlatives on this board we better tidy up the their there they’re and some of the other stuff here :p

We will get thrashed
They will still need to defend us & we have some of our own
who can find the scoreboard.
I'm actually looking forward to a competitive hit out. Once again we have nothing to lose & like Hawthorn last week, if we can get over the Saints, things will be ugly for them in the media & from their fans.

Pretty impressive how saints have improved from last year. Certainly demonstrates the perks of bringing in a couple of experienced players (Brad Hill, Z Jones, Ryder). I want to hit the top-end of the draft this year, but popping a ready-made midfielder into our team would do wonders imo

Edit: forgot Butler, who was an absolute steal imo.

If we can stop their spread from the midfield then I actually think we're on par with them everywhere else around the ground, if not better.

But they have two rucks who give it straight to their mids on a silver platter, and then a bunch of mids who spread really well. Which has historically been a killer for us.

In all seriousness, huge challenge for our midfield today. Saints got on top of Port once Marshall and Ryder started dominating Ladhams in the ruck. IMO it's where they've gotten on top in most games this year.

Funnily enough, in a weird way, this might work to our advantage, because our midfield is used to that by now, and we might be better prepped than other teams to stop them getting clean use out of the midfield.

Sydney has no late changes, with youngster Dylan Stephens the only omission from the team that defeated Sydney seven days ago. - AFL

Happy that we have kept the team that beat Sydney together for this one. A team that can beat Hawthorn and Sydney in the same game should be premiership favourites ...

Bit disappointing our pick 5 got dropped
Disagree. I like the look of him, but he didn't really do much last week, and regardless, we should be rotating our youngsters in and out of the team this season.

Occasionally when bored I like to pretend I’m Bernard Woolley.

Bernard Woolley : But, you only need to know things on a need-to-know basis.

Sir Humphrey Appleby : I need to know *everything*. How else can I judge whether or not I need to know it?

Bernard Woolley : So that means you need to know things even when you don't need to know them. You need to know them not because you need to know them but because you need to know whether or not you need to know. If you don't need to know, you still need to know so that you know that there is no need to know.

Sir Humphrey Appleby : Yes!

Bernard Woolley : Good. That's very clear!
