Rashid finishing it with a six to get Afghanistan to 115, not a great score but it could be a tricky chase on this pitch,

It's raining now too so there may not even be a run chase,

So goodbye Australia :moustache:

can join the kiwi brothers and play big bas league

A rain reduced target would help Australia, a 5 over game for instance would mean we’d go through with any Bangladesh victory.

Bangladesh would lose the motivation to win but the target would be pretty small so they’d likely still chase it down

Afghanistan made 5/115.

Bangers win this then it comes to net run rate.

Net run rate before the game was -2.489 calculated by For 218 runs /In 31.2 overs = 6.957 minus Against 296/31.2 = 9.446 = -2.489

Now the against = 411/51.2 = 8.006 and NRR = -1.049

Oz's NRR is -0.331 so if the Bangers make 116 in 12.1 overs or less they get in over Oz as 12.1 overs its -0.328

Either the commentators got fed bad info or you've miscalculated. The comms said Bang make it in at the latest 12.4 with a 6.

What are the overs Australia make it in as AFG will be ahead on run rate at a certain point was my understanding pre-game?

Someone doing the calculation could have used 43.667 overs and forgotten that the starting point was 31.333 overs not 31 or 31.2

Remember 2 balls = 0.333 in the equation not 0.2. But 43.667 overs gets -0.357.

I have taken the data from CricInfo's Table section.
