Are we in the business of winning premierships or gifting games to kids?
If you think Taylor Adam’s is gonna be the difference between winning and losing a flag you need your head examined (he literally wasn’t this year). I’d rather get an asset for Adam’s than watch Macrae leave to another club next year which is guaranteed if he doesn’t get game time, when this club has close to zero good inside mid talent coming through with a bunch of old inside mids who could fall off the wagon at any point soon like what happens to most players in that age range. When that happens there won’t be any flag talk because Nick will be carrying the midfield almost by himself

Would be a pretty good move for all parties imo. Swans get some grunt for their midfield and Pies recalibrate with Naicos, Crisp and DeGoey as on ballers while blooding some kids. Might get a decent pick out of it too.

And JG slots back into a more permanant spot in that F50

Just because he didn’t play in the team that won on GF day does not mean he didn’t contribute to getting us there… we have to actually get to a GF to win it

What was the point of trading in Mitchell last year - if we just trade out another player similar to him? Did Mitchell help us win a flag, was he the difference? What if he gets injured and not available for finals then what?

Our young talent isn’t that great, we have a bunch of older guys who will retire in the next year or two - Tassie side about to take out most of the talent in the coming drafts
We’re potentially going to fall off a cliff anyway and slide down the ladder but before that happens we’re a very good chance to go back to back or three peat

And you want to trade out experienced players for draft picks ie unknown 18 year olds when we’re in a window to win another or two? We were the best side by a long way I’d expect us to go all the way again next season - what happens after that who really cares… we can try to rebuild through the draft and trading in FA with plenty of cap space to set up the next contending team, so what if it takes 5 years - Naicos will still be here we’ll be fine and with 2 - 3 flags in the bag

We keep this side intact, can manage older blokes through the season - macrae Allen will get their chances - why not rest Pendles Sidey Adams Titch for 2-3 week periods so they don’t burn out by the end of the season
On top let’s trade out to rivals who be playing finals to strengthen their sides

Swans will give up pick 23 and carry 75% of Adams contract in 2024in return for Adams and a F3. - to be F2 if we pick up 50%.

I’m sorry what?…

Why are we giving you any picks for poaching a player we would ideally want to keep?

If the Swans end up securing him I’m sure they will fully pay out his contract next year, add on a second, and probably a trigger for a third.

We also have surplus cash this time around with no trade in target on the horizon... makes no sense...

Sad because he really bled for the club. But can’t stand in his way in securing his future and will be a real bull for the Swans. I think Swan fans are going to be really surprised with what he offers them. Don’t think they have a player like him.
Yes, we're a young midfield that needs some leadership, him and Parker swapping gives us a leader at all times

someone with terrible foot skills playing on that postage stamp of a ground? what could go wrong....

Bit of a shock this one and a little bizarre. I suppose getting a 3 year contract at 30 is something you have to consider

Not a bad get for Sydney for a little extra grunt and experience on the middle I guess.

What is his trade value? Hard one to judge. Possibly a 2nd rounder of some sort

Late pick. Poor disposal and undisciplined.

Jack Ginnivan can do nothing that Adams does. Adams is disciplined defensively, incredibly tough and hard working and will run all day.

Ginnivan has proven to be a good opportunist goalkicker. That's it. Ginnivan is also slower than Adams.

I think its a bad idea to lose Adams but will trust the club as their record has earned it.

But forwards should be in the forward line. Not midfielders.
Adams shouldn't have been in the F50, though he did a good job. Tay prob wasn't happy with playing that role, and wanted more mid time.
Nobody is saying Ginni can do what Adams did, as they are different players, but you'd have a better forward in the F50.
