I have supported Taylor because of his football ability and the fact that everyone should be given a second chance.....but a third or fourth chance or god knows how many....I'm sorry for the kid and for the RFC but let him go now! And if he bobs up on another list cough....GWS....cough the AFL can get plucked.

And a word of warning, once again, to the RfC: You are not a charity or community welfare organisation so....STAY AWAY FROM RECRUITING NUTCASES!

I'll try and be the voice of reason here, some very offence comments coming from this thread and we are better than that Tiger faithful.

Members of this forum are outsiders commenting as an insider. We do not know the entirety of complications in Troy's life but at the same time we are judging his character and condemning him for not showing faith to the club.

I argue that he has shown faith to the club, it hasn't resulted in successful onfield results but that's too be expected when you draft a young Indigenous boy whose family resides in the Northern Territory and has been charged for violent behaviour.

Kraks was in a similar situation at Richmond, only through growing up did he develop the level of maturity that has resulted in his recent stint at Collingwood. For those who claim Richmond cannot handle Indigenous players, I suggest you stop being a racist ******** and realise as a club, we've drafted a ton of duds and it's juvenile to single out someone because of their race. Last time I checked Maurice Rioli was a freaking superstar and Shane Edwards is also a committed footballer for us right now.

Relocating is difficult, settling down is difficult, pressure is difficult and it's ultimately up to the club to decide his fate, don't waste your time judging a young 20 year old boy who has had a limited education and doesn't truly understand the consequences of his decisions.

The solution? Draft mature bodies such as Cotchin, Conca & Bachelor. Draftees that not only display great talent, but great character and maturity.

Just for one minute ... forget about colour , creed , race , religion etc .

Do you think maybe the kid is just a f..kwit ? ... pure and simple ?

fuggin gen y

Only so many times you can lure the horse to the water .... maybe he was just lucky The RFC was there to stop him going to jail

You can't tell me he hasn't had enough support and counselling over the last couple of years to start making some rational decisions

If it is not going to benefit us by delisting him now then we might as well keep him untill the end of the year
but if the kid still doesnt have enough dedication to have the dream job (get paid to play AFL) then get rid of him. The club exists to win premierships not to continually bend over backwards to help some kid "get his head right"

Soo many white guys in the VFL would kill for a spot on an AFL list, and this lazy coon just throws it away, **** him i say.

You really went to the trouble of creating a new (soon to be banned) account just to say that? You, sir, are an idiot.

Taylor going again is a good reminder to us how young these blokes really are. Just cos someones been in the system a couple of years and show glimpses we ask so much of them with jack s### patience. Tyrone Vickery is constantly written off on here and he's 20!!!!! He'd probably wanna go home too if his support network were 50000kms away.

disappointed to see him leave. Obviously his heart isn't in it though if he keeps going and coming back.

I really hope he doesnt take the easy option, but wont be fussed if he does.

Its funny, i walked pass the G today....what i would give to run on that turf.

Wow ................... just wow

doesanybody on this board know what his situation is thats affecting him ?

Is anybody on this board a 20 yo indiginous kid thats been moved from his home & friends ?

People bagging this kid for having issues that dont understand what he is going through really should shut the f** up.

people asking for the kid to be sacked while we have player like hislop, miller, on the list should get their head read.

We need serious talent at the club & this kid has it in spades but needs time to get his shit together.

Persist with the kid & give him all the support he needs, he just needs to mature & get his head in the right place but to give up on him in 18 months is just crazy.

fair dinkum cry me a river Joan...

The kid cant kick, overated. Club has a chance to stamp itself and send a msg to the players and supporters that we're serious. With us or gonski, no grey area.

Piss off TT and lets not worry about a no hoper

Taylor would make the 3rd aboriginal we have drafted with questionable work ethic and discipline, lazy and uninterested, mentally weak individual who can't stay off certain indulgences.

Delist and move on, get some more disciplined, hard working, good bred players in like King

Well, well, well, threads like this really flush out the well bred child genius's amongst us eh? You are an embarassment.

I hope Troy sorts his business out and comes back firing.

Can someone please explain to me what cutting him from our list is going to achieve that can't be achieved by giving him time . His axing from the list ain't going to change anything till the end of the season !
We axe him and some will say we didn't support him , he walks we look like the club that gave a youth a chance .
I support making list decisions when the list can be adjusted to assist the club but making them for no upside and potential lost makes no sense to me ?

Agree. We have no idea what the guy is going through. It must be big if he's risking his future on it. All the best to you Troy. Hope you work things out and get back on track.

i havent read through all the posts on this thread but i have got the general gist.

i reckon most of you have got to think before you become a keyboard hero

the kid is obviously troubled. he obviously has had a tougher first 19 years than most of us will experience ever. try and remember all the tough things you had gone through by the time you had hit 19.

i am so proud of my football club if they can stick by a troubled soul and assist him rather than just cutting him and rubbing hands clean. some of you need to understand that football can help this guy but it's not easy and the baggage he carries doesn't just dissapear when he steps off the plane at tullamarine

Good call, agree Scroda.

I entered this thread feeling annoyed and frustrated with Troy.

But after having read all the hate-mongering against all the actual reason being said by guys like Scroda, I changed my position.

The kid's life has probably been horrific. I couldn't imagine up and leaving my culture, entering another, totally alone. I don't think I could last either.

I think that people on internet forums love nothing more than being heroes and slamming whoever they can whenever they can, that I'm getting way over everybody's pig-headed opinions, that we should keep the spot for him until the end of the season, and hope for him to return...which is totally logical, and our only real option?

Troy Taylor is clearly troubled - I wouldn't know the start of it but it must be a heavy load.

He's only been at the club for 12months - not long in the scheme of things. I believe the club is acting correctly in giving him indefinite leave

Think of those players we can name that have had 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances, embarrassed the club, shat on it, not repaid the club's faith etc etc.

I hope Troy comes back and becomes the player I hope he can be - if he doesn't, so be it.

He put himself in the AFL draft and therefore make the commitment to the club that drafts you.
It appears Richmond took a punt based on the talent that he has. Yes he is young but the club has done all it can and should let him go if his heart is not in it.
I have no doubt later he will regret not grabbing this opportunity to have a better and secure financial future.
