That's not what I meant at all. Regardless of whether Walker actually is guilty, this reporting will cause a scandal. Yet another scandal for us.
Imagine the narrative from Sam McClure and the media if it was a Richmond player or Geelong player say..we would never have heard about it or the narrative would be that it was all a misunderstanding and not worthy of any further comment. Just watch Caro come out for the next month and slam us for the alleged comment

Wowee, don't ever sit on a jury mate.

There's a few holes in this story. Firstly it says that fellow players reporter walker, so that must be Crows players, but then goes on to say that those players want him suspended IF he made the racist remark.

Well, he either said it, or he didn't. I don't get it, McClure SHOULD have been able to get some players on record to say he DID say it.
It doesn’t say that at all?
“It is alleged players and an official heard the comment and referred the matter to the Crows, who then passed it on to the AFL.”

That particular poster has been on Tex's case for years yet thinks Nick Kyrgios is a Saint is my recollection?

They can't go on record yet saying he said it cause that's opening themselves up for a lawsuit if an investigation finds him innocent. Hence the "ifs" and "allegedly" words thrown about.

I don't think Tex is a full on racist, I also think he's not the smartest tool in the shed and wouldn't surprise me to hear he says some shit that's not acceptable anymore and thinks there's nothing much in those comments.

Probably stemmed from this incident, Robbie Young's dog act on Matt Crouch?

WTF would we pass it on to the AFL?

We speak to the players involved. We speak to Walker.
No-one outside the club heard it, so it is easy to keep in house.

It's not like he went on a bender, crashed his car into other cars, stole a kids bike and fled from the scene...

And no, I do not condone racism in any form.

I'd say because it's next to impossible to have anyone believe he's legitimately innocent if a club investigation found that to be the case.

The reporting doesn't make sense.

It says the incident happened at the quarter time huddle. "It is alleged players and an official heard the comment".

Then it says "because the alleged comment was made at the Adelaide huddle, North Adelaide remain unclear about what was said". Young says he "had not heard any comment". Even though "it is believed to have upset several of the player's teammates".

So the inference is Crows players and an official reported this to the club who flicked it to the AFL?

Correct.

The inference is definitely that Crows players or an official reported it to the Club...

Gee whiz, Sam would want to have gotten that one right, because he'd certainly need to have some solid evidence to even state the above, if he hasn't he'd be opening himself up to litigation.....again.

if true and he’s found guilty...

tex can sit out the rest of the year.

Sorry. but there’s no excuse for racism.. racism is the “go to” of the ignorant, often poorly educated and those full of hate.

he should also be made to publicly apologise to the North Adelaide player and both clubs.

how an Adelaide player, especially one that has played for the club in the last decade, could think racism is acceptable given the utter rubbish they saw poor Eddie Betts have to deal with on several occassions is beyond me.

Well clearly the team mates heard it if they were upset about it.

So how were the opposition club team mates informed?
Clearly they overheard it.

The weird thing is McClure claims the alleged conversation was from within the huddle to another Crows player. I've been in thousands of huddles over my life and not once have I heard a conversation between players from within the oppositions teams huddle. You hear angry coach screams, and the team breaking the huddle, but never any internal conversations.

If it were players and spectators chirping back and forth with each other on the walk before the huddle, that's one thing, but actually in the huddle, you would have Buckley's chance at overhearing anything that was said.

Something's missing in this article

Just because I want to believe the best from Tex I could imagine him saying something like "he's a ****ing dog/mongrel" in response to that and perhaps people not seeing the incident maybe thinking it's racially motivated?

What? Did you read the article??

It's not saying that anyone in the opposition heard it, it's inferring that several Crows players and an official heard it, and it was reported back to Crows admin, who've forwarded the allegation to the AFL.
