NO TROLLS Taylor Walker racial slur

Just because I want to believe the best from Tex I could imagine him saying something like "he's a ******* dog/mongrel" in response to that and perhaps people not seeing the incident maybe thinking it's racially motivated?
Using word dog maybe considered racial slur for some.

Pardon my scepticism, but I find it somewhat hard to believe in 2021 that a player with the profile of Tex would use racial slurs towards an opponent, especially within earshot of multiple people including the general public who are allowed to be on the ground during intervals. If he did actually do something along those lines he deserves to sit the year out on stupidity alone.

I've just had this 100% confirmed from a guy who knew about it a week ago.

Apparently what was said was very average, and some players very unhappy about it.

Average as in .. storm in a teacup/over reaction.. (please be that)

If true that is really poor form by Tex, really ends his season on a really disappointing note. Now he has gone back to being slammed by the AFL world again. Also disappointing considering what his good mate Eddie has gone through with racist slurs.

If true...

He needs to be sat out the rest of the year. You can't have a culture of respect for all, when a leader and former Captain does that.

We need to ask a question about when we knew about it and was it before we re-signed him for the year??

He wouldn't tell me exact wording, but said you can pretty much guess what was said, and it was very ordinary (as in bad).

I'm not one to post bs or rumours, this person i trust 100% or I wouldn't have said anything.

All i'm saying is that this happened, and players aren't happy about it.
The only way this would have got out is a Crows player or official reporting him/calling him out.

It was in the huddle, noone outside the huddle heard it.

And good on them for doing so.

No tolerance for racism.

Oh come on, as if your mate wouldn't tell you what was said? Sounds like HE hasn't been told what was said, which sounds like there's a fair bit of ambiguity.

I would find it VERY strange that if there WAS something concrete that was reported to the club that he wouldn't be suspended straight away.

That is really bad then, I don't condone racism at all but to come from an experienced player like Tex is a really bad look. He deserves to be slammed this time around for sure then.

So why wouldn't the club suspend him straight away?

Another judge, jury and executioner i see!

Wowee, don't ever sit on a jury mate.

There's a few holes in this story. Firstly it says that fellow players reporter walker, so that must be Crows players, but then goes on to say that those players want him suspended IF he made the racist remark.

Well, he either said it, or he didn't. I don't get it, McClure SHOULD have been able to get some players on record to say he DID say it.

Like anything, he's been accused, so until the process is completed, they use terms like 'if' and 'alleged'. The investigation could end up that he used a word that sounded like another word but people closer to him hear it as a non-racist word. So 'if' the investigation concludes that Tex said what they thought he said, then they will want sanctions to follow.

What players?, Tex seems to very matey with Shane McAdam both on and off the field?

Joke at the start of the thread aside (which I stand by, McClure can be right and a campaigner at the same time, the two aren't mutually exclusive) I agree with the consensus.

Zero tolerance

And if it weakens us for North Melbourne so much the better
