lol, it's a prelim mate, they're f'n tough matches. Hawks are a fit team and get an extra 24 hours to recover.

Agreed. First half was very poor as far as a spectacle goes.
Shit call. Buddy, Roughy, Cyril, Bailey, Whitecross (injured) didn't get near it. Their top players were average. Franklin, Poupolo, Guerra were also playing hurt. They also kicked 18 behinds.
Geelong were amazing but if Hawthorn played to their best they are a fair way ahead of the young Cats.

Hawthorn (and the umpires) did everything they could to gift geelong the win but they didn't want it.
Franklin, roughy, Cyril, hodge etc didn't show up and we still find a way to win.
You can't help but think chapman might have been the difference had he not carried out such a selfish act last week. He'd have to have be absolutely shattered, especially considering it's likely his last game. Teammates will be super dirty on him too.
Motlop was IMMENSE tonight so props to him.

Freo aren't in the GF just yet, and the scary thing about the Hawks is they only played about half the game at their best. First half was pretty tepid with both sides afraid to lose, but the game was a cracker after half time.
