Piggybacked on Ian Dicker's success, piggybacked on Clarkson's success. He comes around to Clarkson 2 premierships later after constantly threatening to fire him publicly and in helpful letters to members, what a joke.

“I think you have to keep trying to improve yourself. I have spoken to him frankly about his length of stay at the club or in any career. Moving can freshen you up." Yeah thanks Kennett, **** off.

You missed "Was pro merger".

In the other thread, reference to dicker admits he was light on on footy matters and stayed well out of it.

Thats what makes a giant

The difference is kennet couldnt admit it

Jeff has a point in that Clarko would be great at any coaching role he took on. "You could put him in any club regardless of the sport — Olympics, swimming, cycling, soccer, tennis and he would do formidably." Coaching the Hawthorn football club is far greater than coaching any of those 'national level sports'. Priorities Jeff...

Round 1, 2013. "You're not good enough to coach Hawthorn Football Club, you should move on!"

*B2B premierships later...*

Round 1, 2015. "You're too good to be coaching Hawthorn Football Club, you should move on!"

Back in your box Jeff. No one asked you then, no one asked you now.

Is jeff still trying to get rid of clarckson, nah could it be that he is overly passionate and wants us to succeed and maybe thats why he says these things to push clarcko to do beter, thats not all bad.

could you elaborate to me how clarko could "do better" ?

Jeff is all about Jeff and HIS profile/ period. Im just disappointed we aren't hearing less of him like he promised

The way I see it, he made a comment once that said Geelong won't beat hawthorn for ten years. He thought... see how that worked out.

OK... Carkson should leave hawthorn. (That'll keep him in the job for years to come.) well played Jeff, well played.

Jeff is a politician.

A politician works like this:
1. Take the credit when things go well
2. Blame someone else when things go wrong

If you apply those principles, you understand everything he's said about Clarko!

.

I think a lot of is making critical comments here were also not with Clarko at some point in time in the past. We could have made similar statements when things weren't so good, so let's not be so critical of our former president. We know he will NEVER SHUT UP!

Um...

I think the point of the thread isn't "Gee jeff said clarko was no good and should leave hawthorn and now I think he's great"
It's the fact that he's said "Clarko should leave hawthorn because he's not good enough" "Now he should leave because he's too good" WHatever the case jeff is saying clarko should leave hawthorn. And that is why they are telling him to shut the hell up.
