What did he say for who did not watch it?
What did he say for who did not watch it?
Sidebottom plays as an outside mid. Clever by the 7 troll to include him in the pressure stats.I'm aware of Libba's strengths - that doesn't mean that 3 players who all play in pretty much the same position on the ground should have less tackles (it's not even close) barely more pressure acts and significantly less pressure points than one player, even if that player excels in those fields.
You can say we won the midfield battle in terms of sheer numbers - but we lost the match because we were outworked ultimately and we had no answers for the Bulldogs gut running and pace over the top.
All three of those guys are obviously quality players, but whilst they all rack up plenty of possessions, it doesn't always amount to scoreboard pressure or wins. Considering we've spent the majority of time trailing our opposition for the past three/four seasons, we should have plenty of opportunities to tackle!
Jnr Libba does what his dad used to do.Firstly, Libba is a freak when it comes to tackling and pressure. He got 16 tackles last week. 16! So the comparison is skewed from the start by focusing on the best pressure player in the comp rather than the average.
Secondly, Libba chases arse a lot because he's not particularly good at getting the ball or doing anything with it when he gets it. Our mids don't get as much chance to tackle as Libba does because they are the ones getting the ball and being tackled. They smashed the dogs midfield at the contest!! We all saw it.
I'd take any of Pendles, Sidey or Treloar over Libba in a heartbeat.
That said.. Sidey in particular does need to do better than 1 tackle a game.
Just went and turned on FOxtel and bam...........it was on repeat and came straight on.
Gerard said that if he was Eddie he would call a press conference tomorrow and give Bucks a 2 year extension.
His reasons:
- the atmosphere around the club is counterproductive until it's sorted
- Bucks is a rare combo of footy acumen and integrity
- he is certain that Bucks is faultless in his dedication and preparation and is on the road to being a great coach in the medium term
- he has had a bad run of it to this point
He said that as president he would wed himself to the decision and that he would walk with Bucks in 2 years if it didn't work out.

where did it say any thing about drugs tdDid not know he did Drugs
I think TD was implying that Gerard must be on drugs , given his opinion.where did it say any thing about drugs td
that could be it, but some times with td you never knowI think TD was implying that Gerard must be on drugs , given his opinion.
LOL!!! That was basically Robbo's retort to GerardGreat argument from Gerard?
Are you all mad?
Extend for a further 2yrs?
For stability?
Have Ed tie his legacy and presidency and "walk the plank" with him?
My god, how ridiculous.
We extended him already a year or two ago and "back him in". We provided him stability.
It's his 6th year on the job.
Ed has been unequivocal in his support for him to succeed.
No, we do not need to nor do we want to extend any contracts.
It's crunch time.
There's no more "backing".
Results is one thing.
However the style of play and the technically poor footballers we have via skill level- foot and decision making is alarming.
I'm sorry but we have been very patient- board and fans. Weve stayed the course.
We have provided him ample resources to build the list in his mould.
We have also handsomely paid him too- I'm sure to the tune of nothing less than $600k per season- which is way overs to begin with for someone who has achieved little as a coach.
What everyone fails to understand is whilst it's a football decision at the moment, it will eventually also become a commercial one. Attendances are dropping.
The fans are already now starting to voice themselves.

At least if Ed did tie himself to Bucks' coaching career he'd leave no stone unturned.
Might even properly fund the Football Department hey Scodog10
Yet 3 years later here we are.Strategy can be fixed easily
When you have MM jump to the defence of Nathan Buckley (yes you read that correctly) that is indicative of the quality of the Robbo article.
https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/04/03/cloke-wasn-t-mishandled-by-bucks-malthouse/
“That’s far too harsh and also probably unnecessary really,” Malthouse said on SEN Breakfast.
“I’ve had Nathan as a player and as an assistant coach. He knows the game back to front, there is no question about that.
“I think it is too easy, when someone moves clubs, to pop them (the former coach) that they are not doing the right thing by the player. All I read was that there was a really healthy relationship between Travis and Nathan.
“From the outside looking in, I would say that sometimes a gameplan doesn’t suit a player and if it doesn’t suit a player, then clearly he falls out.
“You look at Treloar, you have a look at Pendlebury and you have a look at a couple of these other younger players, they are really relishing in (Buckley’s) coaching so it is each to their own.”
