Time for the club to make a decision, either sign Buckley up for another 2 years or bite the bullet and move him on.
The pressure on the whole club is taking a far to big of an effect on everything from game day to media speculation to supporters angst!
Time to stand up Eddie!!!!

Mate he has had 6 years, I was a huge fan of Bucks and wanted him to succeed so badly, to see him lift a cup as pies coach would have been gold the heart cannot rule the head anymore and cold clear logic says he has to go. It will be a very sad day but to go forward we have to change the coach but that should just be the first step of a process to turn the Collingwood sporting entity/brand back into a football club and piss all the non core BS off once and for all.

To be honest the board should not be able to do anything non football related without the approval of the members at an AGM. How many times do we blow ourselves up. Maggie Land, the pubs the netwball/charity debacle. It just goes on and one and they never ****ING learn.

He was signed more because of who he was, not what he could do, i would hope the next coach they sign galvanises the club not splits it.

As much as i think Eddie has been been fantastic for the club, perhaps it is also a time for change at the top.

Everyone becomes stale to a degree through time.

Eddie could spend a couple of years away from Collingwood and return fresh and run again.

I agree, the focus has moved away from football and it shows. So many clubs have gone past us it's almost laughable. Time to pull the Reins in and make this FOOTBALL club great again

And once that is done Eddie and Pert should announce they are going at the end of the year, earlier if possible.

Bucks might not be able to coach but he did not appoint himself, those who did should also pay the price but that would require accountability and we all know that is not in vogue under Eddie.

Eddie needs to be addressed also,hes farked this whole thing up and is not admitting his heck up.Malthouse built this club into a powerhouse with a fighting spirit to die for and now its a farkin shambles.Grow a set of balls McGuire you soft **** or resign immediately.

We don't owe Ed anything.. the black and white that beats in my heart is what matters to me.

Collingwood is hidden under all of Eddies corporate maneuvering.

It will resurface again.

I still have no idea what went on in the final home and away game in 2011 where we got maulled by Geelong by 100 points. I would offload a gorilla to find out the truth.

Been downhill ever since.

Now we need to learn not to mix business with friendships ever again. Appointing a coach with AIS under 18 experience.. because his name was Buckley.. is not good enough.

I'm starting to think it was a coup between mcguire brayshaw and bucks to make it look like nth were after him.. to give weight for us appointing him.

However it came about.. it compromised our 125 yr history to the nth degree.

Really disappointed - 6 yrs of it.

We deserve answers and we bloody hell deserve so much better.

Agreed. We can still love him as a collingwood great, but this decision has to be removed from that

Very difficult to judge Eddie harshly IMO, but i agree with you he did mix business and friendships, but you can guarantee he thought it was the right decision, not just based on friendship but unfortunately in hindsight he will realise it has been a mistake.

He probably thought he was on a roll from a premiership year.

I personally think history will judge him as the greatest Collingwood president ever albeit he moved from Victoria Park, but the positives have far outweighed the negatives.
