Draft Day is here

Unlike last year when the excitement of adding No.1 pick Harley Reid to our list was palpable (and also near certain), this draft is uncertain and viewed with equal parts excitement and trepidation

We go into the first night with pick 12, which is expected to slide to 15 after academy and Father Son selections and a lot of guesswork on who we’ll take. Or even if we actually use that pick with rumours circulating that we might trade up or back

Night two we have pick 26 (subject to change) along with a gaggle of late picks. Again, there’s the possibility of trading into the draft with another pick using one of our later future picks and even less certainty on who we might pick

The one near guarantee is that NGA product, Malakai Champion, will be an Eagle at some point over the next couple of days

So sit back and watch to see how the draft unfolds whilst praying we don’t do something stupid

Yeah awesome for us - seems we have a decent relationship with port for this stuff. We were never going to take Berry so basically same player for us, pick in the range we want that they seemingly don't need, not sure why they need that but for all the meltworthy stuff this trade period can really get around this one - super happy.

I can see it now, we pick Bo Allan and he wins the derby medal one day and has to be presented it by his dad!!

Great trade for us. I dont get what Port get out of it. We mustve spooked Port into thinking we would pick Berry.

We have been the worst run club in Australia. You would need a lobotomy to traded out of this draft twice the way we have. F me.
We moved back one spot and missed out on a player we didn’t want and got a free pick we didn’t have in return. How is that bad?
