Travaglia out to 12, Lindsay out to 17. Bo Allan gone before our pick. Please take either Travaglia or Lindsay and don’t f**k this up West Coast, good news is we are one of the teams mentioned for both.

He says we’re interested in Allan but notes the trade back wasn’t with him in mind.

Hannaford in the range of our second pick based on that, can’t rule it out. Also links us to Hotton, Berry, Shanahan and Murphy Reid interestingly.

A bit sobering that Xavier Lindsay is shaping up as the consensus pick at our 1st.
Don't mind him that much, but I hope we have a few other options on the night.

The experts are saying he is potentially the steal of the draft outside the top 10.

Very smart, skillful, consistent high accumulation mid.

He is by far the best pure mid likely to be available at 15.

It has 100% been a possibility. Didn’t think it would be this late though. Posted this two weeks ago in response to Wooshaaaa:

If our cap is tight for 2024 he cant retire with a payout this year. We will need to wait until later so his salary hits 2025.

Or we are waiting and assessing if he can ddo a preason. If not he retires and opems up a spot for a train on player or a mid season pick.

Surely no chance on Shanahan. Last thing we need are taller forwards.

I'm still not opposed to Dodson. if we procured another pick in the 20's.

Not sure this is true but heard speculation Don Sheed may retire

Said did not think he could get through another preseason

I don't think it could be true or we would of heard something by now with the draft around the corner
Can always try get him through, then if doesn't get up we can use a mid season pick up to add talent.

Looks like a heap of good options will be available

Can't claim to know much at all about this draft but only ones I'd be a but wtf on would be Shanahan (do we really need a kpf?) and Hotton (not sure the injury is it worth the risk given there looks to be plenty of other options)

Lindsay's PCL was gonna sideline him for 8-10 weeks, so I'm assuming he's recovered now and ready to go straight after the draft? Or will he still be on managed training?

Last I heard he’d ticked all the boxes, certainly no issue with running.

Post October 31 (now) I believe that will fall into the 2025 cap. Perhaps WCE_phil can clarify.

He still has a year left on his contract.

He was never going to pull the pin before he gets his money .

Don't know if there will be any decent train on players .

If we want knobel we will have to rookie him .

Anything we do with him now will fall into the 2025 cap

That said there’s no necessity to do anything predraft as we already have six selections plus a RD pick that we won’t use all of

We’ll have train on options to fill Sheed’s spot should he decide to retire. I’d start with Winder

Or main draft pick 81,99,117 if another club doesn't pick him up.

Yeah I'd be happy picking up Knobel with a super late main draft pick - the only benefit to rookieing really is that we could cut him after a year, which would make sense for other players/situations but not this one.

We'll need at least 2 years of him continuing to develop to look at him properly and it might be something we can promise him to give a bit of certainty if we're getting in his ear for his blessing to pick him up.
