Joined monthly gin club today.

Get a wanky bottle, mixers, garnishes and snacks each time and a set of glasses on sign up.

Last time I went to Dan Murphy's to buy a bottle legit felt overwhelmed with the ridiculous selection available these days, this will take the decision out of it and have it delivered too.
Very interested in the snacks part

What do you like about it so much? I've been once and was underwhelmed at best.

Surely the fact that it’s in the city drops its rating a bit? Why anyone would bother going into that shithole is beyond me.

I don't go to the city for the venue, but when in the city I go to the venue. Good food, good beer, good service, never crowded. Wife likes it, so that helps too, means I can usually squeeze in more than one beer.

Agreed, went for a work dinner at TOMA so thankfully the company picked up the tab but I thought it was extortionately overpriced for the standard of the food.

That's the restaurant, though. I haven't even walked down the stairs yet. I walk into the bar at the top, grab a beer and some food and I'm sorted. 🙃

Pretty much the most full flavour session NEIPA and smoothest 9.5% beer I've ever had. Probably helps that I haven't had more than a 6 pack of colonial IPA's this year, the palate is probably like a newborn at this point.

That Innate baby juice is insane for the abv. It’s one of my regular carton purchases. Good fridge filler

Cheeky Monkey have never disappointed me.

Keen to try that one when I see it in the bottle shop!

Cheeky Monkey have become very hit and miss for me. I've given up on them for the short term. Not cheap beers and been all over the place with consistency as this year has gone on.
Agree with this. Especially with some of their recent stuff retailing for $12/$13/$14 a can. It’s hectic

Maybe I've gotten lucky but their IIPA is a staple in my fridge and I haven't yet been disappointed or underwhelmed - mind you, haven't tried any of their recent stuff this year.

I found their special edition IPAs named after the local surf breaks weren’t that good, a few were actually terrible. I don’t really ever buy their stuff since then. There’s too many other good options out there to take a punt with a brewer that’s been up and down in my opinion.

Noted. Does that include Space Oddity which Lynch takes a mark posted above?

The Beerland ones I had at Northbridge Brewing Co on the other hand was mostly down. Cheap tasting paddles, sure, but when 4 of them were very meh it felt like I should have spent a bit more on better stuff.

Took a drive out to Bassendean yesterday to visit Freestyle Brewing's cellar door. Picked up a mixed 4 pack for $22.50. Hell High Triple IPA, Space Fog, What's Golden and Ambrosia Sour. Absolute bargain! Also got a squealer of Majik Juice.

All been ripping beers so far, Space Fog my favourite.

How I have never heard of them

These guys beers are elite. Definitely on board with space fog. It’s one of the best local IPAs I’ve had and it’s like $10/$11 or something for a big 500ml tin

Bugger, was hoping it'd be good. Big fan of Beer Farms hazy mid. Reckon that'll be a fridge filler for me this Summer.

It's not terrible but not fantastic - pretty much what you'd expect for the price.
